The perfect tool for drilling holes in a pot to make a brew kettle

The perfect tool for the job. I drilled through a very thick pot to make a saucepan. It was perfect for working with multiple errors due to my hand drill. I just want to make one caveat here. If you use a lot of force to drill through thick metal, wear gloves and safety glasses. Hot pieces of metal can bounce off very easily and leave ugly marks on hands and arms. Now imagine it coming into your eyes.

Irwin Unibit 4, 10234 Step Drill Bit

This is the second drill bit I have bought. The first lasted 5-6 years and still works well, but it's one of those tools I couldn't do without and wanted the second one as a backup. If you're an electrician, you're wrong if you don't have these units. Not only is this pup capable of drilling a variety of hole sizes, but it's also ideal for reaming burrs in an EMT that you've just cut with a pipe cutter or hacksaw. I don't know how the cheaper ones hold up, this one lasts for years.

One tip, though, is to use a TEKTON 6580 Auto Punch to start the holes and then use a 1/8" titanium drill bit to drill the pilot hole, otherwise this unibit tends to slip a bit. Also, lubricate the drill bit with Tap Magic Industrial Pro Cutting Fluid to greatly aid the process. I've drilled hundreds of holes in…
