Worked like a champ! My only issue is the lack of 7/16" hex extensions on the end. I ended up having to get one Buy 1/4" and 3/4" shank drill bits to finish drilling horizontally through my 38" table. This bit worked PERFECTLY on the first 18" holes. After that, chip sealing became an ongoing problem.

Use this auger with a 1/2 inch cordless impact driver to drill holes in tree stumps. The holes allow air to pass through and burn stumps much faster and easier. I've drilled about 30-40 holes in a few stumps - this drill doesn't distinguish between old and young stumps. I usually oil the drill bit when drilling stubs. Highly recommended

I was happy to use this to locally expand the hollow floating shelf cavity for the rod channels. I used a cheaper drill bit in the past, but I needed a longer one. for this project. The cheaper auger was exactly 3/4 inch in diameter. It's 11/16"! See photo (you have to trust me the calipers are calibrated). It was useless for my purposes because it fit into the floating recess of the shelf without touching the sides. I have to counter it swap in a 13/16" snail. " which I can assume will be 3/4"
