Use this auger with a 1/2 inch cordless impact driver to drill holes in tree stumps. The holes allow air to pass through and burn stumps much faster and easier. I've drilled about 30-40 holes in a few stumps - this drill doesn't distinguish between old and young stumps. I usually oil the drill bit when drilling stubs. Highly recommended
