It should be 4 inches. Fits clips and clutch pins

Works well, has a strong super magnet. The only issue I see is that the 3 inch length is too short for my 41 gallon tow behind the atomizer by about 1 inch. work on my other stuff. That's why I gave 3 stars. I wonder why they didn't make it to 4"?

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Crumpled

Recommend to all my friends

I've used it twice to hitch a cart to a lawnmower. Very quick to put on and take off which is great as I always keep my shopping cart away. I have a very bumpy yard with rocks and roots. I have a good test drive at full speed. So far, so good.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Periodicity

Magnetic Personality

As I get older it becomes very difficult for me to bend down and pull the cotter pin out of a conventional tow bar so I don't have to bend down anymore. It held my loaded garden trailer on my tractor cross country all day and I almost forgot it was just magnetic. I'm stuck with it forever ;)

great should have bought it years ago

Works much better than 'standard' cotter pins as the standard pins require the user to lean or kneel and reach for the clutch to engage remove or insert locking pin from clutch pin. John Deere's magnetic design eliminates this problem. I was hesitant to buy it because I have a Craftsman Pro and not a John Deere but it fits perfectly and is secure.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Much easier than cotter pin

Much easier to use than the old cotter pin. I used to hate attaching a cart to my John Deere mower because I can't see the cotter pin properly in the hole and it always takes effort. This magnetic pen solves this problem. The magnet is very strong. I doubt it will come loose even in rough terrain, but I leave it on the cart when not towing the cart, just in case.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Hard to say

Heavy Duty Products & Winches

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found that this pen is capable of very heavy duty applications. Yesterday I had the opportunity to hitch a lawn roller with it. The moment I heard and felt the magnetic latch on the drawbar, I was instantly satisfied - I didn't have to bend down and fiddle with the locking pin. When I ordered it I thought it was a bit overpriced. But now that I've seen and used it, I'm very glad I bought it. If you're towing something behind your garden…

I wish I had gotten this sooner

I bought this based on the many strong reviews and Revain customers who answered my question as to whether this tow hitch would handle heavy loads. I am very happy with the purchase. I have a lawn tractor with two different carts and a trailer that I tow, use, or leave depending on the job. This device makes these transitions quick and easy. It also handles the 200- to 300-pound loads I carry. This is particularly surprising as one of my carts is an unusual size so I have to push this pin up…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not automatic

Jumped out right away

I used a pin on a John Deere lawn tractor to pull a 10 cu ft cart. The basket was new and completely empty. I unscrewed the bolt and pin from the tow truck, inserted the John Deere magnetic pin and started to pull. The needle fell off immediately. I tried again and the same result. I drove on a slightly bumpy lawn. This could be the reason if you think the cart was empty and the ground was a bit bumpy. However, you would expect the magnet stick to support the weight of the tow truck's hitch. I…

  • Heavy duty construction

The magnet is very strong, couldn't be happier!

When I received it I tried it on different trailers to make sure it would fit. It worked fine at first, but on the third pendant I pulled the pin out and the magnet stayed. Not a big deal, I half expected that based on the reviews I read. I removed the magnet from the tag and attached it to the pin with Elmer's Probond Advanced glue. I also covered the magnet with a thin layer of glue. These magnets are quite fragile. A grazing impact can lead to breakage. I speak from experience. A light layer
