I don't know how they did it

At first I was a bit disappointed as I only caught one worm on my first try. It must have been my old frozen scallop because when I switched to fresher shrimp I had at least 4 worms every night. The extended arm makes it comfortable, but I appreciate the wonder of how many worms it catches at once. The packaging seems a little crude to me, but my goodness, it's just a worm trap and it works amazingly.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not reliable

REALLY WORKS! for fish and aquatic animals

I had an outbreak of bristleworm after receiving some items from the merchandise store that I will no longer be using. They were everywhere for a month. I've tried many bristleworm traps and other solutions including removing live rock and soaking in fresh water. This is the only one I've tried that actually works. I've used Mysis and Sole, both of which resulted in at least a dozen of those disgusting little nasty worms that I can't get out of my tank otherwise.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Almost never

Big catch! Best aquarium cleaner

At first the trap didn't work as worms come and go. When I added some filter material by folding a cube of frozen Artemia and sticking it in the middle and the flatter end (I didn't use extension poles) the bristleworms started to move around and stay inside. I caught almost 2 dozen overnight and reset every night to catch at least a dozen and shovel another dozen in the sand under the trap that seem ready to move into the trap.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure

One of the best I've ever used Catches a lot more at once

great trap. I've been using it for about 2 months and it works really well. If you use the right bait you will catch more than you bargained for. It was really difficult to find the right food at first, but it seems to me that using fresh shrimp or shrimp with Artemia works best. I can usually count 4 or 5 every night. I had a very bad infection and clearing the numbers really helped. You can drill 2 bigger buckets to try and catch the big ones.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • don't remember

Pretty expensive for a piece of plastic

Not much to say about this item other than it's expensive. If I was on a budget I would definitely make my own out of a water bottle and some straws. Apart from that, the only thing that can really be said about this trap is what works best as bait. I've tried using some frozen clams with little success. Found a piece of fresh shrimp overnight, caught about 20 worms. I've read about using line to prevent worms from reaching the bait and exiting the trap but it didn't work for me. Just a pieceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

Worth every penny! Best in Fish & Aquatic

I've been struggling with a bristleworm infestation for some time. This trap is amazing. I used Hikari Algae Wafers in the trap and it was full of worms in under an hour! I was so excited that we emptied the worms, added more bait and put them back in the tank. This time I caught even more. Since I've only had this trap for a few days, I plan on tossing it into the aquarium every night until my catch is gone. BTW I didn't even bother to add sand or anything else to make it heavier. I didn'tโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Vulgarity

oh my god it really works

I'm the last person to buy an all-occasion device, especially something like a bristleworm trap that you can make yourself. Well I've tried to do them (twice) in the past and I think my skills aren't up to par because they've had minimal success. I put dried mysis in the middle of this thing and dumped at least 40 worms in the morning. Pooh! I know everyone says they're not bad, but they annoy me and this thing will help me keep them in check. A note, this can only catch small worms. I have aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • There are bugs

Some decent design choices but don't really work

I like that it's a hard plastic that sinks without the need for additional rocks or sand. I also like that the bait case protects the bait and keeps the bristleworms from just feasting on it. I don't like that very few worms got in and even fewer were left. I saw 2 worms go in and only 1 stayed there when I removed the trap. I made a homemade trap planting pellets in and it wasn't that effective. I took this trap and planted raw shrimp on it and received such a strong stubble feeding responseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I won't say anything
