Not as good as other brands

Used for light engraving on mild steel. Didn't keep up compared to the OSG we used, although tool life was roughly halved at the same speeds and feeds. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Wonderful 1 inch cut length but delicate!

When you need high feed, don't go deeper than half the width! If you need a deep cut, get ready to work very slowly! I don't mean it's a bad thing, but it doesn't tolerate bugs and breaks very easily. Watch your feed and depth and the cutter will work great. Excellent chip evacuation and seems to be holding its edge well. Very few thin end mills have that much cutting length, so this is one of those must-have tools in your toolbox, but it also demands a lot of respect.

Pros
  • Few competitors

As with everything you pay for, this is no different. This cutter is more than acceptable for lighter woods like plywood, but for harder woods the cutter dulled faster than expected. I'm using it on a Shapeoko v2 with an upgraded DeWalt DWP661 motor to mill letters and numbers for reference. Considering that for a hobbyist like me I found this attachment to be good for basic wood engraving. The drill gently removed all the material from the spot and with the vacuum nozzle the result was veryโ€ฆ

perfect for wood engraving

I have a couple of rotary tools and like to cut with them, but most cutters and bits for that leave something to be desired, so I decided to try carbide ball-nose cutters. The best decision I've ever made regarding these tools. The end mills I like have 4 teeth and are small or very small. These cutters offer exceptional cut quality compared to those commonly sold as rotary tool cutters. They are extremely sharp, precise and cut cleaner than anything else. Of course, these mills aren't forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • no

Broke after 1/2 second use. After it broke I was only able to clamp the ball end of the piece that broke in my CNC. It broke in about 2 seconds. I would advise anyone looking at this to spend their money elsewhere and get a better quality racquet. It's garbage.
