🥁 Playful Beats: The JW Pet Company Activitoys Drum Bird Toy Review

I have two parrots in a cage. What a fun and adorable site to see the two take turns playing the drums. Although the toy is a bit new it's been around for about a month now, I see a parrot or two playing with it every day so I haven't taken it out of the cage yet.

My bird loves this toy. He can hold a mallet with his foot and drum "properly". But he is an active, curious bird! He loves to loosen the drum string, stand on the drumstick and try to pull the drumstick out! He usually succeeds and I have to replace his favorite toy!

I bought this for my sugar gliders and just received it. They like to pull a string (at the end of the drumstick) that makes the drumstick beat up and down, but there's no sound so it's just a show. I'm not sure how long they'll enjoy this, but I don't think it will last as they won't get anything out of it. I want it to make noise or something like that.

Lyric, my cockatiel probably likes this more than any toy he got for Christmas. He has a mirror and he can pluck the string and bang the drum in his musical zone of his cage. He also has a guitar and a harp and is trying to start a cockatiel band. Soon he would become a famous bird musician, paint his coat of arms in strange colors, and trash hotel rooms. ;-) Good product. I will definitely buy.

My birds were scared at first like any new toy I put in their cage. But once they get used to it, they like to nibble and make noise. It was very funny to see that they didn't pull the string to "play the drum". Instead, one of my budgies climbed onto a stick and started moving it from side to side like her own little roller coaster! This is funny! I will try to post a video on YouTube soon!

Pretty but didn't last long on our cockatiel. In the first week she was caged with our cockatiel, she managed to untie the rope and remove the bead. We tied it several times but she always untied it. We did well for a few weeks because she was busy and obviously liked the toy. She just figured out how to remove the entire plastic shin that isn't firmly attached with the little plastic pins that hold it in place. It's too easy to pull out, making the toy almost useless once removed. The drum…
