Disappointing Brake Upgrade Kit

As an avid automotive enthusiast, I was excited to upgrade my car's brake system with this kit. However, after purchasing and installing it, I was left disappointed with the performance. Through trial and error, I found that the drilled and slotted design actually hindered braking ability and caused more noise than usual. The only positive aspect was the use of ceramic material, which helped reduce brake dust. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone looking for a performance brakeโ€ฆ

Warped rotors on brake kits

Brakes worked great at first, then did a couple of freeway trips and stopped the car after freeway speeds. The brakes began to knock, now it is clear that the rotors are deformed. Purchased rotors with slots and grooves for heat dissipation as OEM rotors warp.

Brakes and Discs: Replacement Parts

Replaced front brakes and discs on a 2008 Ford Ranger 2wd. Perfect fit, great brakes, no noise, solid, no problem. A note about delivery. The rotor packaging at the bottom of the carton needs to be revised. The box was damaged on arrival, looks like it has been pulled and the box was torn in the corner, luckily this didn't scratch the rotor (poor box bottom for such heavy rotors).

Power Stop K 1857 ceramic brake pads in front and combination of perforated and slotted

I was expecting better braking performance with these pads and rotors but I can't honestly say any experience. The rotors are well made and finished. The pads tend to squeak when left standing in damp or wet conditions for a long time, but this is eliminated after a few wheel revolutions. Installation was fairly easy and the only issue we had was the dust cap would not seat properly and eventually loosened enough to fall off. Luckily, the noise transmitted by the turning of the dust cover inโ€ฆ
