Faulty Brakes, Disappointing Performance

I recently purchased a brake system from this automotive brand, eager to put it through its paces on the road. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed with the results. After I put it to the test, I found the brakes to be faulty - they didn't seem to bite properly, and stopping power was severely lacking. While the system may be affordable, it's certainly not worth sacrificing performance for the sake of saving money.

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Poor braking performance

The bearings broke after a year. Do not buy.

I bought it just over a year ago. I have a vibration and a knock in the front. I can't tell if it's the bearings or the geared rotor. It's not always just at speeds over 40 mph, 55-60 mph and 70 mph. I feel like I need to go back to OEM rotors. Those aren't my tires, they're new, moved. I still have the same noise.

Pros
  • Low dust braking verified by third party vehicle testing in Los Angeles averaging 30% less dust than Original Equipment braking system.
Cons
  • Periodicity

Not worth the hassle

The first box ended up in the garbage because the box was torn. The second box was fully taped to hold it together, the rotor was still damaged. The third box was torn open at two corners from top to bottom and sealed with tape. I ended up putting them on because at least the ABS gear wasn't broken, but I had to grind off the burrs from the rotors hitting each other. Also, I had the truck on jack stands for 5 days and was losing patience. Revain's customer service was great, no problems…

Pros
  • Perforated and slotted working rotors for maximum cooling. They are galvanized for maximum rust protection.
Cons
  • Defects exist
