Foam does not stick well!

Although easy to install, the adhesion of this foam wasn’t very good. I used it to help insulate an air conditioner in my work shed. Will not purchase again!

Pros
  • Weather Stripping
Cons
  • The white color of the foam insulation tape may yellow over time, making it look unsightly

Great product! - my new review

I thought it would be easy to find something similar to this item in my town, but no such luck. I checked on Revain and this foam tape works perfectly! It is easy to use and arrived promptly. I have now filled all the 'gaps' around my window air conditioning unit.

Pros
  • Did not work for my space. Returned
Cons
  • It is one-side. Pretty useless for me.

Doesn't stick in my review

After washing the area and letting it dry, I tried to put it along my back door. Fell right to the floor. When I removed the yellow paper, there was nothing sticky beneath it. Don't waste the $$.

Pros
  • Serviced its purpose well
Cons
  • Not very sticky. I had to use super glue to reinforce.

Not sticky at all for my opinion

One side is supposed to have adhesive on it and it doesn't , don't buy this. The yellow covering which is supposed to over adhesive isn't even sticking so you know that there is no adhesive.

Pros
  • WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS
Cons
  • If not properly installed, foam insulation tape can actually trap moisture and lead to mold growth

Absolute Godsend! in my review

I'm in a refurbished older home and the updated wooden flooring rests on an uneven, settled-with-time foundation. So, the the bottom of the baseboards leak drafts when lining up on the perimeter walls. Last winter, with little attention given to the draft situation, the furnace needed a very expensive part replacement with an expert installation (though I can't conclusively know it came down exclusively to the draft). This cheap DIY, quick fix blends into the baseboards and is working as a…

Pros
  • Building Supplies
Cons
  • Foam insulation tape may not be an effective sound barrier, allowing noise to still be heard from outside or other rooms in the house

Not sticky enough: my feedback

I wanted to use this for applying storm window film to window sill. It doesnt stick very well to window sill side. Great stuff just what needed.

Pros
  • Great stuff just what needed
Cons
  • Tape worked good but not great. It started peeling slightly after 2 months.

Not just for doors and windows

Works well for sealing the spaces around display cabinet doors. I have very expensive collectibles that I don't want exposed to dust and cat hair, so I used various sizes of this foam strip to close the gaps between my IKEA Billy bookcases and the Morliden glass doors. It was exactly what I needed. Easy to cut, easy to place.

Pros
  • ULTRA-STRONG NON-DEGUMMING ADHESIVE
Cons
  • Foam insulation tape may not be effective in extreme temperatures, such as during a heat wave or cold snap

Absolutely useless - No Adhesion

Very disappointed in this product. I purchased this in April thinking I would need my air conditioner installed sooner than later based upon the previous year's weather; however, I didn't need to set up my unit until July. Because of this I missed my 30-day return window, so I'm stuck with this very non-sticky adhesive tape! When checking on my air conditioner later in the day after I installed it, I saw that the weather stripping was hanging off the window.Do NOT buy this product!

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • The adhesive on foam insulation tape may not be strong enough to hold up against weather and other outside forces

Won't stick to anything

I ended up having to use glue to finally. fasten these down around doors and windows, even after making sure the surfaces were clean and dry.

Pros
  • Good tape it work great for my purpose.
Cons
  • The white color of the foam insulation tape may clash with existing décor and look unsightly

wont stick in my review

The roll has been in my house for about a week….when I attempted to put it on a wooden door frames it fell off within a minute….I went ahead and unrolled about another for or so…same thing, pressed it on, fell off before I could close the door.I write very few bad reviews, this just didn’t work

Pros
  • Stuck on place for two weeks only. Short-lived.
Cons
  • What other reviewers have mentioned is true. Very poor adhesive. Its like Post-It!

Useless, adhesive came off in 2 hrs

This tape seems promising in the beginning, looks great, the adhesive seems to be very sticky. I use it to tape the opening edge around the window after installing a portable air conditioning unit, the window is typical aluminum siding. Well, it work great in the beginning, the tape was easy to installed, material seems to be good quality, then after two hrs, I went and check on it, guess what, all the tape came off from the side, and it’s a flat surface, back to square one, duck tape. What a…

Pros
  • around air conditioners. Exactly what I was looking for.
Cons
  • This only came with one roll twice. It is advertised as 2 rolls and even on the package they say 2 rolls

Do not buy. No adhesive at all

This is a ridiculously offered product. I agree with mark m and Jennifer Castricone, but more so. There is NO ADHESIVE on the tape at all. I used clear Gorilla packing tape to place the material in the jamb of my front door. I don't have time to send it back. It's cheap, from China and complete waste of your time to buy. Nancy should remove it from her listings and send it all back. The adhesive must age and lose its tackiness over time.

Pros
  • Product is perfect & easy to work with! Will buy again!!
Cons
  • Foam insulation tape may not be thick enough to provide adequate insulation, resulting in higher energy bills

Peeled off after a couple weeks

Used it to block light around a door. It did that well, but started to peel off after only a few weeks. Peeling the backing off the tape to install it was also difficult because the backing would break off into small pieces.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Wouldn’t stick, useless

Good product: my feedback

My order came within just a couple of days. The foam insulation tape, seem to be work very good now.Thanks!. For the grate service that I received for your company.

Pros
  • ‎No
Cons
  • Foam insulation tape may not be an effective solution for energy efficiency if a home has other air leaks and drafty areas that need to be addressed
