It works if you take your time to make it work

It works if you have a dremel, a thin cutting wheel and about 10 minutes. Be careful opening the old one. Only cut the sides and bottom. Cut along the sides until you reach a seal, then smack the bottom a few times. After that you can open it. Pry it open with plastic only, be careful not to use the electronics board as a lever. For a new key fob, make sure you use the screws that came with it. I had to cut a little in the new key fob to get the electronics board to fit properly. Don't try to…

I bought this to replace my 2005 GTO key fob that was missing buttons. Works fine, just don't over tighten the lag screws. To install, you must remove the key by unscrewing two screws. You then need to cut the old keychain down and down the middle. I used a razor blade to cut the plastic, but a dremel would definitely make it a lot easier. After cutting or scoring the plastic, gently pry the key in half. Remove the computer circuit board and place it in the new key fob. Insert the key into the…

This key fob pouch is perfect for replacing the key fob on a Pontiac GTO when the buttons have worn out. This is not a project for beginners. You will need a dremel to carefully cut the old keychain in half. Once it breaks, plug the old chip and antenna into the new case. This is a snug fit, so you must FIT the CHIP COMPLETELY. It took a couple of assembles to figure it out, as the knobs didn't feel right once tightened and were so sensitive you could open the trunk by breathing on the key. To…
