I bought this cute purple bicycle bell as a Christmas present for my little niece. I don't know how well it works until her dad put it on her new bike. Overall it looks like a good bell and is cheaper than the bells sold at my local bike shop.

We bought a blue bell, exactly the same color as in the photo. It's a strong bell that I don't think will break. The bell makes a happy chime and definitely catches the attention of people on the bike path. The bell had to be mounted on the left handlebar to work. So if you are looking for a bell on the right side of the steering wheel, this may not be the bell for you. I would definitely recommend this!

This is a good big solid bell and when it rings clear it makes a very pleasant ring. The main problem is that it doesn't ring clearly and consistently. I had to unscrew the cap a few turns to get it ringing brighter and clearer, but then it dangles and doesn't stay in the optimal position. I tried using teflon tape to "tighten" the threads but it didn't quite work. I would probably use Loctite but haven't tried it yet.
