I think this product is my dream. I have a $400 iron that does in an hour what this product could do in 10 minutes. Yes, it tugs on my hair, but so does my flat iron and almost every hair product I use. I have to use a bit of heat protectant lotion before straightening my hair but I love the result. And to get so close to the root without feeling the burn, WOW, love it! A bit awkward to hold the handle because of the control knobs, but I get it my way 👍

(Everything from expensive blow-dryers, round brushes, blow-dryer-brush combos, and various straighteners, one steam-powered. I have a very thick 4C hair texture so the flat iron didn't help me at all but my daughter has mixed hair and much softer and wavy curls and the brush worked great on her ! Without them I would have returned, but overall the product is good.

Upgrade*** So I've used it a few more times and I'm still very happy with it! You should use smaller sections of hair and move slowly! I'm Afro-Caribbean. It worked just as well as a flat iron on my 4A hair. In fact, it straightened the strands while my hair had volume and movement (which requires me to take conscious steps to achieve this with a flat iron). I have at least 7 different irons at home and this one is amazing. I am a beauty teacher but my specialty is aesthetics. I have never been able to make my hair as smooth and silky as my beautician. My hair is coarse, frizzy and wet, turning into a fluffy mess. It was also re-mastered due to the highlights. I used to do professional keratin straightening every 4-5 months. It looks great when I leave the salon, but once I wash it and start styling it I can mimic what my friends are doing with it.

I'm Spanish and my hair tends to be wavy but sometimes I want it to look smooth and sleek at the back. I came across this product and looked at the reviews but most of the reviews were from women with long hair. I am male and am about 3-4 inches long. I thought it wouldn't work on short hair but it worked! So easy! I literally brushed my hair back
