A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

Just great. I have had it for at least 3 years, and only now I decided to write a review on it. During these three years I recorded a bunch of films, programs, distributions. I put linux on it / Windows from it. In the end, it turned out to be an indispensable thing for me. The purchase was 100% justified.

At first I was impressed by the negative reviews. But I didn’t take it for myself, but the person wanted this one, I thought for one thing and I’ll test it. I have three different USB 3 controllers. Everyone has a different result.

    • Have not found

Gave a flash drive, made a mistake, gave his old friend. I liked the design, miniature, nothing superfluous, you can hang it by a string so as not to get lost. The characteristics seem to be good, USB 3.1, but there were problems with the recording speed, at first it writes around 30 MB, then the speed drops to 5-8 MB, I thought this was the problem, but it turned out not to be a problem, then it stopped writing data altogether, i. E. first 30mb then 5-8mb then 0! And gives a message that the…

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, this is how I prepare for the session, usually flash drives are lost from session to session, but I hope this will not happen with this one, at least I immediately hung this one on the keys, and I’m unlikely to forget or lose the keys anywhere. high read and write speed, any files are quickly transferred, and movies and toys too. Any OS is recognized, there are no retractable mechanisms or caps, compactness is above all

    Pros
    • High speed, compact, reliable, and the price is normal
    Cons
    • Well, so far, none

What did I pay for? This product is a failure.

I already bought 2 identical flash drives, the first for 64, and the second for 32. I bought the first in 2022, the second in 2022. One died and didn’t work for three months, now the second one was covered after half a year. Before buying the second time there were doubts, but I attributed everything to the marriage of a separate model, but this is just a disgrace. Now I will consider buying EXCLUSIVELY except for Kingstone. No one will return the data to me, and the official representative…

    Pros
    • Construction, dimensions.
    Cons
    • Unreliability, short circuit inside the MK, which causes incredible heating of completely different flash drives of the same model.

A worthless product, definitely not worth your money!

Further, spitting on speed, all the same, volume was important to me, I used it in tandem with a TV. The first week everything was fine, until the TV (Samsung) stopped seeing her. Neither formatting in FAT32 (and since it is large, you need to format this file system through a special program, you just can’t do it), nor other methods helped. I sinned on the TV (I don’t trust Samsung), but in the end the flash drive stopped being seen on completely different computers. Only repeated poke back…

    Pros
    • Beautiful appearance, solid, compact, gives the impression of solidity, large volume (64) with small dimensions
    Cons
    • the design is such that the USB connector scratches the case of the flash drive and after the first use the beautiful case acquires scratches, but this is nonsense, one could not mention it. The very first drawback I found was speed. When copying a large file, about half of it passes quickly, but then the toffee begins. The speed drops sharply by exactly half, even when copying from an SSD drive. Warming up. Falls off. Dies.

Average quality of the product, especially for the money.

Compared to a similar flash drive from Transcend JetFlash 710S, the speed of Kingston is several times lower. In the test, the read/write speeds are about the same: 42 Mb/s, while the Transcend JetFlash 710S delivers 22/102 Mb/s. However, despite the twice lower test write speed of the Transcend flash drive, in reality it copied a folder of 1.75 GB two and a half times faster: in 01.42 minutes versus 03.58 for Kingston.

    Pros
    • Sturdy metal body, nice design
    Cons
    • Slow operating speed

Just today I filled it with almost the entire volume of serials - about 60 GB. For some reason, the write speed starts at 110+ Mb/s every time (perhaps some tricky but useless Win10 write buffer), and then drops sharply to +/-30 Mb/s throughout the recording. Reading - 110-120 Mb / s. Naturally, only via USB 3.0. I don’t know how long it will last at such a pace, but I decided to write a review after the death of her Chinese colleague on 128 GB :) It is necessary to find a replacement for this…

Not a good product, not worth the money.

Next time I will take Transcend, this brand let me down less. Lanyard in the photo :-) With its pros: The size is good, it is compact. A hole for hanging it to the keys of a large diameter, you can fasten it anywhere. To make it more convenient to remove from the USB port, I tied a small lanyard, 2 cm long. Got cons: Low speed. Became buggy after a year of chattering on the keys. Didn't die completely, just buggy. Naturally, it is stupid to use it. I threw out the box and everything else, so I…

Nice size and design but terrible write speeds

The Kingston Micro 3.1 delivers decent read speeds and is actually button-friendly unlike many of its competitors. But the write speed is worse than many USB 2.0 drives. Kingston is an American company that generally offers reliable and well-designed products. But despite being more expensive than most of its competitors, this drive has terrible write performance. As you can see in the attached screenshot, performance delivered decent read speeds of just over 100MB/s, but write speeds were…

Slows down on a continuous stream of pseudo-random numbers

Don't ask, but tell (me) I've found an unusual use for it. The continuous stream of zeros seemed to work fine (fifty-one minutes to fill the drive), but adding the pseudo-random part got me going halfway, then 31% came in and didn't go, and I finally just closed that 32% are unreachable. I will definitely never get to 100% in a few days. This is definitely a non-standard usage, but not unfamiliar to me. I've done the same with _many_ USB drives and prefer the Kingston ones. Aside from a couple…

A worthy disc, but it could have been better

I recently bought this disc, as well as another disc from Samsung. The Samsung was a dollar cheaper and has twice the read speed. One star deducted for that. However, this drive is almost half the size of the Samsung drive. This thing is tiny, so if you're more concerned about size, this drive is a little more portable. Other than that, performance is exactly as advertised, the read speed I got was exactly 100MB/s. The write speed is around 25 MB/s, which is normal for a drive of this price…

Very small, pull the lanyard through to avoid losing it and makes it easier install and remove. Formatted from FAT32 to NTSF. As a test, I first moved a 6.5GB file from my USB 3.0 computer (with 3.1 enabled in BIOS) to Kingston Micro USB 3.1, which took 7-8 minutes. Then transfer the same file from the Kingston USB 3.1 stick plugged into the USB 3.1 port, it took about 6 seconds. I bought a 16GB Micro to see if it's really worth buying a bigger one. On my old version of Vista x64, it typically…

Worst flash drive I've ever had

I hate this thing. I've never had a problem with a flash drive in my life, but this little guy caused problems at every turn. I originally used it to play music in a Ford Sync equipped car, but after a week of use the music started skipping like I was listening to a CD. Two more weeks and the hard drive won't be recognized at all. I threw it in a drawer and bought a Samsung flash drive that hasn't missed a beat since. Fast forward a year and I decide to once again use this little guy as photo…

    Bought for Keysmart

Bought to upgrade my Keysmart with a larger capacity USB. It's thicker than the Lacie Mini USB Key I had, but at 128GB versus 32GB I'm happy with the results. I've also kept the Lacie Mini Key USB on my Keysmart to continue to handle temporary file transfers, while this 128GB USB drive can be used to store my encrypted personal database. The hole was just a tiny bit too small for a Keysmart hinge pin (whatever you want to call it). But it didn't crack or damage the USB at all, it just chipped a
