This kit contains everything needed to overhaul a Mercruiser 2bbl carburetor including a new float. It is always recommended to replace the float whenever possible. The big downside to this kit, and why I gave it 3 stars, is that the new accelerator pump was practically junk. This is a 1999 boat. First refit. The shrink film used in the packaging is adhesive and will stick to and damage seals. The accelerator pump piston is too small in diameter to work so it could not be used. The injector disks were not the right size for the Mercruiser Mercub application. Although my caliber isn't small enough, some of the spring rates were much lower than usual. The aluminum tee for the ball check valve is too thin to stay in place during assembly so was not used. The float scale is switched off. I got it…

Incorrect accelerator pump size. The accelerated pump cup was too small, frankly sloppy in the hole, doesn't squeeze fuel when accelerating. Wrong size pinch seal or nest of needles in nest, also had to dig up the right sizes from older kids I rescued. Some parts just weren't quite right. Poor quality, waste of time and money. I would return it if it was even possible. I overhauled my carburetor because of rough idle. and now I have many other problems, not to mention that some of the new replacement parts didn't even fit right out of the box.
