Slicer bent on first use

The grater was perfect for cheese but the slicer bent when slicing zucchini! You can see the bent metal. Very poor quality which may bend on first use and with a fairly soft veg I can't imagine cutting it into something harder like a carrot without further damage. Will return.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • High price

Not hot enough for onions, cabbage, peppers. Terribly inadequate.

Raw vegetables such as cabbage, tomatoes, onions or peppers cannot be cut! It was brand new out of the box. Really disappointed. It's as if the blades were never sharpened at the factory. Perhaps KitchenAid should acknowledge the app's shortcomings and retire it with a refund and an apology to customers. It's basically useless. I ended up getting a 20-year-old Hamilton Beach food processor and used it instead.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • A few little things

Some things are better done by hand than by car!

I love all the accessories we got for the KitchenAid stand mixer except this one. It just doesn't work as shown. When it arrived the pusher that fits into the feed tube was firmly clamped and took half an hour to get loose. My first (and last) task was to grate the cabbage for the coleslaw. The large grater cutter turned the cabbage into a hopeless mess, and the slicer had to be scraped by hand from each piece of cabbage that passed through. The KitchenAid website has a picture of a cabbage…

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Some bugs

Well made, but frustrating to use. The big grater works very well. If the grate drums were vertical, this would be a better product. The small drum of the grater fills up with chunks and you have to stop and scoop out the cheese each time it fills up. The slicer makes slices about 2 mm thick. Like the Salad Shooter, the Drum Slicer falls short when it comes to celery. Instead of just crescent-shaped slices, there were quite a few long strips at the end, through which the drum pulled the celery.

Pros
  • also understandable for old people
Cons
  • expensive

A useful addition - check the price reduction before you buy!

Carrots will stain the inside of the unit A LOT on first use. 🥕🥕🥕 I tried soap and water first but it didn't work, but thanks to the internet I rubbed the discolored plastic with vegetable oil and paper towel and the color faded. 🙌🏼The package was delivered as is and without the usual Revain box. The Kitchenaid box only had a shipping label - something to keep in mind if you plan on buying it as a gift. The built-in part is made of thick plastic, but be careful when squeezing hard…

The buyer is wary of the best in kitchen and dining room

This product was a big disappointment. I have enjoyed using KitchenAid products for many years. My old grater broke so I decided to try this 'new and improved model'. Grating things like carrots was great, and then when I used it for the cheese all the cheese was mixed together. I dropped the plunger and the plastic shattered into pieces. When I called KitchenAid they immediately replaced the plunger free of charge which was great as it was my fault. my carrot. I was careful and slow with my…

  • All right!

If you have a food processor. Skip This

I brought this item in on the first day it was available. I used it to cut a piece of cheese for taco night on day one. The cheese didn't break. I thought maybe I should make the piece of cheese firmer by putting it in the freezer for 10 minutes. This did not improve the quality of the patches. I tried cutting the lettuce. The results were similar to cheese. The items don't come out like the video shows the cheese coming out. The manual says the speed should be at 4, I've found that at 4 it…

Pros
  • Cut or chop as much as needed into any size bowl.
Cons
  • Empty

A big improvement over the old design

Love this new design. It is much easier and faster to work with than the old version. Easier to insert and change blades without having to remove the entire attachment from the blender hub or grind your fingers. If I have the feed tube on top and a "pusher" for it and can look inside while I work, I can add and push food with one hand instead of holding the foldable pusher with one hand. Door + 1 to put food. And it works better, fewer large pieces get stuck between the blade and the inside of…
