Good, almost: power tools and hand tools

They work very well, with two small exceptions: the tips of the needles are too thin to make loops for regular 14 and 12 wires, so you have to To use the middle of the tips or to loosen when grinding, both options are less convenient. Forget twisting the wires, again the ends are too flimsy for that, you can do a one or two by twisting the pliers sideways, but it's a pain. The stripping part is excellent. With this in mind, these pliers are better suited for working with low-voltage electronics

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

QUALITY PRODUCT good for pliers

Ok Klein Tools is not cheap to buy as it is a HIGH QUALITY product. You can get cheaper tools but you won't get the quality that Klein offers. Yes, it sounds like an advertisement, but it's not. I first noticed Klein while watching a YouTube video and this guy was using a Klein wire stripper. I did a little research and found this to be a very high quality product. As a former carpenter by trade, I know what to look out for when buying quality tools for commercial use. Small definitely fits. If

Klein Tools J207-8CR General Purpose Needle Nose Pliers

I bought my first pair of these Klein general purpose pliers a few years ago and I absolutely love them. Now I use them every day and always have them in my tool bag. They're actually needle nose pliers, not needle nose pliers, but whatever, I still think they're great. The crimp tool on them is ideal for installing Buchannan crimp barrels to equipment ground and bare slip rings. These pliers have two stripping slots for 18, 16, 14, 12, and 10 AWG solid wire and 20, 18, 16, 14, and 12 AWG…

Replaced my pair of pens with these

I really liked my pair of pens. They were the best multipliers I have ever owned, strong, reliable, comfortable. I pulled out the nib and liked how light they are. The ones with pliers seem a lot heavier and terribly stiff when unpackaged. I've used many different types of lubes/penetrating fluids to get them to open, but they're easy. will not. I'll try to give them a guarantee to see if I can get a replacement and see if they get any better but unfortunately they just can't be used as they…

good tool when it really works

I bought these to replace a pair I got a year and a half ago. It's a good tool, but I'm tired of buying Klein products and soaking them in cutting oil or PB Blaster to use them. Once again I soaked them in a PB blaster for a day, now it's cutting oil and they still haven't come loose! Klein makes quality tools, but FFS learned to make pliers that I can use right away! It looks like your competitors have no problem with that. Also, the first pair they sent me was defective and the 20AWG stripper

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Generally good but...

I've been using these Klein pliers for about eleven months now. During that time I've taken her through commercial, residential, industrial and everything in between. They held up incredibly well. The spring inside still maintains proper recoil and pickup, making these pliers very handy for an electrician. The only downside I would add to these tongs is that the cutting blade is only on one side of the tongs and the worker has a 50/50 chance of rotating the tongs properly. It seems…

Excellent quality needle nose pliers

Great product with a great design. I have used it many times when doing electrical repairs in my new house. I'm not giving it a full 5 star rating just because it's quite expensive and it's possible to get similar (or similar) quality for less so value for money isn't entirely clear. Also, I wish it had a spring-loaded mechanism, as I got a little frustrated at times when I had to awkwardly open it with one hand while my other hand was holding something else. The spring mechanism wasn't such a…

Ideal for installers/fitters

I use this tool every day and it hasn't failed yet. I have a spring loaded version (#8-16AWG Solid) that completely replaces my various small wire strippers. It cuts through wire with ease and its needle end is ideal for twisting wire into a loop. I of course still have my Kleins Lineman for heavy cutting/bending/self defense/hammering/etc. I can get the job done with this tool for 80% of the tasks. It's nice not having to switch tools when switching tasks - definitely a time saver. I had no…
