The best pliers I have ever used in the last 45 years.
Includes key-pliers "Kobra", pliers and side cutters.
"Kobra" of the previous modification I have been in service for 19 years, and I have two of them (well, it happened). It differs from the one presented in this set by slightly shorter jaws, a smaller grip size (you can take the S32 nut as much as possible), and a larger grip adjustment step.
The tool is fantastic in functionality! Perfectly holds a smooth round timber (as a pipe wrench), nuts from 8 to 32 mm spin perfectly (we are talking about the old model, the new one has a larger grip). Due to the rational shape, it provides a high clamping force, which makes it possible to cope with strongly stuck threads. The tenacity of the grip is demonstrated by this trick: Grab a 1/2" - 1" pipe firmly fixed horizontally, squeeze the handles tightly, keeping the tongs horizontal and remove your hand. The pincers will remain hanging on the pipe. Then gently stand on the top handle. If your weight does not exceed 120 kg, I GUARANTEE: the new tool will serve as a reliable support for you! (My old teeth are dull, so they turn).
At the same time, the tool is compact, push-button lock allows you to adjust the grip with one hand, which allows you to work in uncomfortable places.
It is amazingly convenient in the production of assembly and welding work, when you need to hold a small piece for a tack. And what a sin to hide, it happened to climb into electrical panels under voltage (remove and install fusible links) when it didn’t happen at the hands of a regular tool. The handles are covered with a thin, but durable rubbery plastic, which I have not been able to shake for 19 years (there was no such special purpose, but I didn’t “blow off a speck of dust”). Of course, he didn’t yell with sharp pieces of iron on the handles, but he mercilessly soaked fuel-oils and dropped them from different heights.
