I had an old lock that I lost the key to, so I needed a new lock for the back door. It's perfect, my husband installed it quickly, I had a little problem the next day, but the company was sooooo helpful and they fixed everything quickly. I love the fact that I don't have to have a button with a keyboard! Definitely worth your money.

What I like best is that multiple doors can be locked with the integrated system. I have replaced all of the exterior door handles and locks with compatible Kwikset units and they just work. Installing the old door frames required little effort, but that would be the case with any hardware. Being a rental home, being able to change the locks yourself is great. And keyboards make it easier to get in and out. Recommended.

I have 4 or 5 of these quick release buckles. They're all built pretty much the same. They loosen up after about 6 months and need to be taken apart and tightened, which can be avoided by using some blue Loctite. Really the only thing I can fault is that the model number isn't printed on the outside and it's very difficult to find the right manual when I need it.

It's junk. Broken after only 1 year of use. To make matters worse, it failed when unlocked and can't be locked with just the key. Luckily I was able to lock the door with a separate latch. The keyboard works, the electronics work, but I've tried restoring the factory settings by moving the internal lever to the locked position, but nothing will lock this unit. Do not buy.

We have three of these digital locks on other doors but our back door had a standard set of locks. No one in the house had a key so it was unlocked. One afternoon someone came to our house and fortunately nothing was taken. I went to Revain and found this lock and installed it the same day it arrived. It's well made, Kwikset has a solid name, has handy lock and unlock features from the inside, a backlit number pad and should provide years of security.

I love this lock! I actually bought a second one and installed it on my garage door. When I go for a walk or ride my bike, I no longer have to take a stupid key with me. I also don't have to search or dig for a key when I get home. Just enter the code and you're in the game! I also like the feature that allows me to set a one-time (or longer) guest code. So a friend can leave something behind or a neighbor can check the house regularly when I'm out of town.

Very easy installation however I received the product without any parts. I was missing a "pre-installed screw" (as the instructions say) which is not listed in the parts list as it should already be installed in the outer door arm (there should be one on the inner arm as well). I went back and ordered a replacement which arrived a few days later. Upon receiving the replacement, I immediately checked the "pre-installed screw" and found it was missing again. Installation was very easy even for a beginner like me. The instructions are very clear but it took me a few reads as this is my first time installing a lock. It took me about 45 minutes to remove the old lock, put this one in, program it and recode it. It would have been quicker if there hadn't been a rookie mistake that resulted in me locking myself inside and having to walk around the house a few times to access the outside of the castle.
