They are very well made. One of the things I did was polish the ends to make them very smooth. This allowed me to make holes and pull the stamp out much easier.

The metal surface is very rough. Once you break the skin it's hard to get out. It must try to grind the surface of the tines to make this product thinner and more user-friendly.

I needed a 6mm stapler punch when I had a project where I wanted wider stitch spacing. The set looks good but I haven't used it yet. I punched through a few pieces of leather to get an idea of the distance and they fit my needs perfectly. The price was a major factor in my decision to purchase the kit and the extra needles were a plus for the price.

Seriously. hit better. Especially if you're a beginner (trust me you'll be so disappointed with how bad they are, you won't be able to focus on the fun of working with leather and that's why so many newbies become so many crafts/professions/hobbies overwhelmed and give up).
