Cheaper do-it-yourself alternatives

Do yourself a favor and make this product yourself. You can buy plastic bindings in the notepad section at Walmart or right next to a store that sells posters. Then buy plastic grids near the sewing area. I made my own separator which is obscure (so you can use it on faucets) for about $5 and I have parts left over to make more. This product is transparent so do not use on men. It is also a very fragile mesh and may start to break when attempting to assemble it. I'm giving this product 2 stars…

It serves its purpose and is not a ghastly blue.

I mean it's an aquarium divider lol. I used this to separate two of my bettas in a 10 gallon tank. Yes, they flashed each other for about 30 minutes but soon realized they couldn't get to each other and now everything is fine. Only now they do it from time to time. I had to trim it about an inch to fit my tank perfectly and once installed I placed it in gravel which I highly recommend. Doing those two things really keeps this thing in place. The gravel and the fast cut left no gaps for me. It…

THIS SAVED MY CICHLIDS

Worked fantastic, stopped 2 super aggressive cichlids about 3-4 inches long from killing each other. My tank is a traditional 29 gallon tank with 18 3/4 inches on top. bottom and 12 1/4 - 12 1/2 inches from front window to rear window. I had to fill the bottom with gravel about an inch or so to keep it in place. The barrier is like a plastic mesh that lets water through. The only reason I took off a star was the price. If you have really big fish this barrier might not be strong enough if they…

Our cock slid right past him to attack our other cock. No Bueno.

First of all, we must have a perfect setup. It lasted 3 days, then we encountered our tank scratch. Although the device was then re-tested, it must have moved just enough from the ideal spot for our aggressive new bantam to somehow slip through, get to our docile, cute bantam and horribly maim him. We took an aggressive male and decided that a tank with two males wasn't worth it. We hope our injured betta survives. :'-(. I'm not impressed with how much space is left in this thing. I also don't…

This is a life saver for my two African Dwarf Frogs

Love it! It was too wide for my tank so I trimmed it down a bit and it was perfect. I was trying to introduce my Betta, Andas, to two African Dwarf Frogs in his 10 gallon tank and he went and tried to bite one of them! He's such an asshole 😂 Glad I ordered this before my frogs arrived just in case that happens. It's a little tricky to straighten and secure, but it's ok with a little effort. The only downside is that it shines through. My frogs keep staring at my tail as my tail puffs out its…

I wish there were no stars! Avoid at all costs! make your own

I only have a few minutes but if I take the time to write a review you will know this is a terrible and very disappointing product with poor design! You better do it yourself! If it breaks, at least it's your fault, rather than trusting a company that secretly wants your tank to fail. where to start The mesh is too thin to let water and particles through without being trapped. I had to install another filter in the shielded side to prevent dirt from building up as dirt would slide through the…

Really a hassle to install and breaks easily

I wanted to install this in a 55 gallon planter to separate two guppy breeds. After playing around with them for 30 minutes, I decided to just let them mix. where to start There are a number of annoying things about this divider. This reminds me of the reviewer who wrote that "this book should not be taken lightly. It should be thrown with great force." That's how I feel about this separator. Let's start with how the perforated barrier film slides into the plastic edges that touch the sides of…
