Ordered these because my old struts were worn out and no longer supported the sunroof. It took a while but once installed these baddies felt like a feather on my sunroof! Definitely recommend. 👌

You are fine. Definitely not a stabilizer. I only installed 1 because I recently installed a new stabilizer on the other side. You can feel the difference between them. I still have to watch my head and occasionally shake the hatch to keep it up. Installed on Trans Am ws6 2002. Beware of the wind! The hatch is heavy and doesn't feel very good when it hits you!

Ideal for V6 3.8 2001 Firebird. Not sure if it matters but I have t-tops and the spoiler is just a built in fin on the sunroof. My sunroof has NEVER automatically popped up when you push the button BUT these kids do it fully automatically. Great pieces, I hope they last. It's a wonderful feeling when the renovation goes so smoothly.

I bought a '99 Camaro with the sunroof uprights removed, so I ordered them so I didn't have to use a stick to hold the sunroof up. They were pretty easy to install if you have the right torx bit to loosen the torx screws holding the posts in place. Once installed it worked exactly as advertised with 0 issues. This is a good product when you need to replace sunroof pillars.
