It works exactly like a garage door keypad

Lift Master 878 max is hard to find in retail so I bought it from Revain. The product works and if you have two garage doors it will work on both.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No automatic

Very easy to program and install.

It only took a few minutes to 'pair' with the Craftsman garage door opener. I hooked it to an existing screw on my old keyboard so I only had to use one screw to attach the bottom. The whole process took about 10 minutes. Works great! I also have two Liftmaster clickers for cars. Didn't need technical support.

  • Pleases
Cons

Works great on my LiftMaster gate operator.

I mounted it on the entrance side of the gate. I put it there when the MyQ app is not working properly. Sometimes I wanted to get mail, take out the bin or go for a run, but I couldn't open the gate with my phone. This saves me having to carry the remote control with me as a backup. I have a high performance security keyboard outside.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Quality

Paintable: Building Materials

Used the All Surfaces Spray Can which is good for plastic. Satin white in tone finish. I just left the valve closed and drew on a piece of cardboard. The inside does not need to be painted. During installation I accidentally held the learn button down for too long which cleared all my codes for all other remotes so I had to reprogram them all. Just quickly press the learn button until it lights up, don't hold it down. Programmed normally with the door open. I had a green study button.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Working Speed

Easy peasy for Doors

My previous door opener was 30 years old and required several keystrokes to open. I didn't want to buy a new one for fear it would ruin other openers and be difficult to install. Not right! I took it out of the box, put it in place of the previous opener, followed the simple instructions and it all worked the first time! Like all my projects… no. Top tip from a previous reviewer: On the learn button, just press it once. If you keep it, you'll have to redo all your openers.

Works as advertised!

I have installed 878 Max in 2 homes with 2 different Liftmaster/Chamberlain garage door openers. I used Liftmaster's Youtube video to help with the installation. Two Liftmaster control panels were used for the installation/synchronization: a motion sensor control panel and an intelligent control panel. The intelligent control panel was so simple that I was surprised that everything was done in one step. Motion detection was a bit tricky, but simple enough for you to just join in. Remember to…

Great for building materials

We moved to a new house last year and the garage keypad never worked. We tried replacing the battery but nothing. I felt like an idiot when my dad finally told me how easy it was to swap out the keyboard. Little did I know it wasn't actually connected to the house. (Stupid!) It only hangs on one screw. I looked at the brand of opener we have, bought it, followed the instructions and it was ready in 10 minutes. We couldn't walk into our garage with a keyboard for a whole year for something that…

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Negative experience

Not sure if it will work but awesome and easy

Bought this 878Max (latest model) to replace a worn/dead keyboard (976LM). I was concerned about the .Chamberlain Pro LiftMaster Security+, 1/2HP, Model #1265 Garage Door Opener (Red Knob). was over 20 years old and I doubted it would work with such outdated hardware. The 878MAX box says this keypad works with all LiftMaster door openers made 1993 and later and it definitely worked for mine. It came with a 9V battery already installed and it took me less than 5 minutes to code the keypad and…

  • This is amazing
