I crochet, knit, hand-embroider, and quilt a lot (sometimes I knit blankets instead of quilting with stitches). I love the look and versatility of Sugar'n Cream yarn. I've bought them from several different stores, but this is the first time I've bought from Revain here (which is odd as I usually have quite a large "buy at Revain" style). Beware of that messy/greasy yarn they sell at Revain

I've been buying this yarn for years and use it to knit everything from handbags to kitchen towels. A bag of white Sugar N Cream I bought from Revain recently had grease and dirt all over the bag about every 20 yards or so and a few cuts that were tied together. Clearly a quality control issue at the factory with the equipment used in the manufacturing process. It really ruined the look of the white pillowcase I used to knit and is a waste of my money. To top it off, when I contacted Spinrite…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I love this 100% cotton yarn. it is cheaper than the smaller skeins of Lily 4 Oz cotton yarn. although it is the same white cotton. same thickness. Some colors cannot be made from cotton yarn with large spools. I make a lot of washcloths and towels. Acrylic just isn't good for this because it doesn't absorb moisture like cotton. My experience with this large cotton yarn is that thread is better than small skeins. I used it for knitting and crocheting. I made 2 long washcloths to wash the back…
