This is the third brand of silk ties I've tried and I was specifically looking for smaller and stronger ones to hold my braid in place. In the photo and video I've attached I compare Lily Silk hair tie (pink) to Slip hair tie (silver). The Lily Silk hair tie is quite bulky and barely elastic enough to be used as a hair tie. I have very thin short hair and the elastic is barely enough to wrap my hair once. If you have thick hair I don't expect this to be easy to use.

I have ordered them 3 times and liked them but the quality of the gum on my last order is not the same as previous orders and I am very upset. The order I just received is much more elastic and not in a good way. They don't have the same grip and feel cheap. When wearing a ponytail, the well-made lily silk could be wrapped 3 times and did not slip off. The newest lily silk wraps 5 times. Edit: Still solid after almost 1 year! I love those! I've included a few photos for reference of my "regular" hair ties, which I twist three times for a full ponytail. These are the same size. I tried soft twisted (red in the picture) ties before switching to silk. These silk ties have the same slightly thicker stripe on the inside instead of the thin black ones in my photo. Perfect size, holds up very well. My work is very active, I'm always moving, bend over and they hold up great for a 12 hour shift and also run at the gym, they slide smoothly when I take them off and they don't pull my hair, and they look great quality . and not cheap. I can do 3 rows in the tail. I can fully recommend this product.

I wish I hadn't hesitated so long to try silk scrunchies. I guess my doubt was that I'm not a big fan of hair ties, but that's about all I could find. I finally found these neutral brown mini streaks and decided to give it a try. With them, my hair is no longer pulled out like with non-silk ribbons. Silk-free ribbons pull and tear at hair during wear and removal. They hold my hair without pulling.
