Saves time! for Air Conditioning Tools & Equipment

This item was used on a 2010 Ram 1500 with a 5.7 liter engine. I broke two screws on the right and left. Removing the broken bolts turned out to be the easiest part of the job. I used a slightly different style than the one that was included.

Durango RT 5.7 Hemi 2014

So I bought this kit to use on a 2014 Durango, I also bought an Ingersoll high speed angle drill bit to drill out 2 broken exhaust manifold bolts, it's been around for a while took a while but was able to get them out. Excellent kit. I highly recommend getting extra drill bits, I like the Mars ones, they have a high strength tungsten bit, they're expensive, they're $30 for two 1/8th bits, but they work great!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Frequency

I almost canceled this purchase, glad I didn't.

If you want to make a new collector/collector. Get this set. I read the reviews before buying and advised everyone. Maybe not for everyone, but you get the idea. Buy some extra cobalt drill bits and a small angle air drill. I used that. I had to drill out three screws and screw them back on. It took a long time but I got great results. This was the first time I encountered a broken bolt situation. I am a beginner and can fully recommend this product.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Buy extra 1/8 bits and take your time

I was using this kit when one of my exhaust manifold studs broke flush with the head of my 2013 Ram 1500. what suits me best. Drilling took a while, especially with the small 1/8 bits, but I managed. Be sure to buy extra bits and work slowly so you don't overheat them. This kit worked pretty well overall. I didn't mess around with the extractor, instead opting to pierce through and cut the threads entirely. Bigger drill bits cut much faster so I don't think the extractor is worth the risk. The…
