I like how much water it holds so our hamster lasts a long time. It easily attaches to the side of the cage with a spring-loaded metal strap. However, he moves after our hamster has had a drink. I can't say enough about the performance of the bottle. All I know is that there was no way to reliably protect this in my Critter Nation cage. It doesn't have a notch like some feather bottles, and it doesn't have a flat side, and the feather is ALL it has, so it started slipping right away. I would not stay there at all. I wanted to replace my old plastic bottles for my birds (canaries and finches) with glass bottles. I bought two of these and they didn't leak at all. The glass is pretty thick. However, I give the bottles fewer stars because the neck of the bottle is very small, making it difficult to clean. This is narrower than traditional 8 ounce bottles.
