The best "tool "! on Sealant

This threadlocker bar is one of my favorite "tools" in the toolbox. The screw cap bottle is dirty and inconvenient to use. The stick is light and comfortable. Simply ride over the threads of the screw prior to installation - the threadlocking bar will stay in place and not harden until the screw is seated. I've found that liquid screw lock crumbles when removed and needs to be replaced entirely every time you touch the screw. The threaded rod lock stays in place and is still partially effective

Pros
  • Sealant
Cons
  • Big and chunky

"Blue " is a good compromise between tightening and loosening screws.

I had one as a free sample from the distributor of a trade journal. Couldn't use him at work as he didn't have the right pedigree and certification papers so I took him home. Well it's been about 10 years and I'm buying another one. Much easier to use than liquids and there is less spillage so it lasts about as long as a medium sized bottle. It costs extra money compared to liquid, don't worry about the weight difference. Just turn the screw at the end of the stick and you're done. "Blue" is a…

The stick is very comfortable.

Suitable for fastening nuts and bolts onto studs. Slide it over the screw threads and wait a full 24 hours to ensure it is installed. This version of the stick is really good, you can just put a screw on it and don't have to mess with liquid. I have been using their material for many years. Make sure you get the correct force for the size of your bolts. - Low Strength - Violet/Loctite 222 (liquid) for screws up to 1/4 inch. Medium Strength - Blue/Loctite 243 (liquid) and 248 (pencil) for 1/4"…
