Description of ๐Ÿ”ต LulzBot Taulman Reel Filament in Black

Hot-end print temperature 245-250C. Incredibly resilient, stiff, and strong. Comparable to Polycarbonate, easier to print and almost as strong. With a tensile strength of 8,500 psi when 3D printed, alloy 910 is almost as strong as Polycarbonate. Unlike Polycarbonate that requires a hot-end capable of reaching near 300C. Perfect for printed objects that need to be strong and stiff like enclosures, high-impact parts, and even mechanical linkages used in robotics and production environments.

thinks the job is right.

I bought 2 spools of this material. Both arrived with a broken clasp and the filament was wet. The first prints out of the bag were full of vapor leaks. You must dry it (in an oven or food dryer) before using it! It also had some discrepancies in diameter, making parts difficult to print. However, once these issues have been addressed, this material prints excellently and is very durable and flexible.

Good stuff, get ready for customization. Super strong!

I needed to make a group of high strength, high temperature prototypes for a client (I have a small start up and also several consulting clients). It took a bit of adjustment to get perfect prints, so allow some time to tweak the settings. However, once I hooked it up, I had no issues with the build platform warping and I'm pretty happy with how things turned out. It compresses a bit, but I've seen worse with ABS. I suggest starting with the settings recommended by Toulman. I have found thatโ€ฆ

Two wrecked printheads

I'll be the first to admit I'm no 3D printing genius, but I've tried really hard to love Alloy 910 and just tossed two almost full spools of it in my trash . That's because I just destroyed my second Aerostruder printhead with it. At $250 each, this is super disappointing. Problem? No matter what I do I can't get Alloy 910 to stick securely to the print bed and it fools me into doing so. I've tried a few different surfaces and glues, temperatures, casings, drying methods, and glue tricks likeโ€ฆ
