Description of LulzBot T-Glase PET 3D Printer Filament: Superior Additive Manufacturing Products

Hot-end print temperature 240C. The high gloss surface finish is great for jewelry, props, and electronics. Extruded filament has excellent optical properties allowing for translucent 3D prints, and even light-pipes. T-glase is one of our favorite 3D printing filaments. Items printed with t-glase look vibrant and glossy. Thin-walled printed objects are translucent and eye-catching. T-glase 3D printing filament is recommended for intermediate users, and prints more slowly than standard beginner 3D printing filaments like ABS and PLA.

Please avoid T-Glass

This is the second T-Glass I have here. Both times the IUD came to me with tears and no tightness. Lately the filament isn't printing properly at all. I don't have the time to ship (weeks not days), 3 failed 27 hour prints, the cost of this thread and I still don't have the details to show it all. Save money and headaches and get cheap eSun PETG - it's much fresher and gives reliable results.

Pros
  • change price

I was afraid it might be one of those fancy things that you need to be an expert at fine tuning to use. To my pleasant surprise, it worked great out of the box with the presets built into Cura (LulzBot Edition). I didn't do any special preparation and it adhered well to the PEI and came off easily. Looks great, doesn't smell at all, only downside is it prints a lot slower.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Fantastic thread!

What a great thread! After reading a bit about printing with T-Glase PET I applied a thin layer of Elmers Glue to the top of my PEI printing surface, used the recommended printing temperatures that came with my LulzBot and enjoyed the material. My kids (and my dad, believe it or not) wanted me to print a set of spinners for them and this thread was perfect. When printed it was heavier and denser than my regular plastic so not only did it look amazing but it added weight to the spinners. In…
