Worked for a while and then.

I have had this oven timer for less than a year and a half. Worked fine for a year and then stopped. I once noticed that I almost burned something in the oven because the timer wasn't working. Once installed it counts down the minutes but near the end of the sync cycle it just stops working and never ends up ringing. I've had the timer I had before for over 20 years. Pretty disappointed with this product.

DO NOT BUY: Kitchen & Dining

This cheap timer broke down in less than a year. Thinking timers were the most important thing, I mistakenly relied on them, resulting in several ruined dishes. "Exit" means it worked normally, made a ticking noise and seemed to work but not on time. I followed the manufacturer's instructions exactly. This is a defective and cheap quality timer. I imagine a company doing this crap if it's a dubious one-day operation. Buy another timer on this site.

The timer doesn't always work.

I bought this timer a year ago and it started not working all the time. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Example: I reset it all the way (turning it to zero) and then turn it towards 20 minutes. I know it won't work if I come back 5 minutes later, it's still on the 20 minute setting. I hear a ticking noise but it doesn't move. I don't know why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The good news is that it's not expensive.

Excellent timer in thermometers and timers

I've been looking for a suitable timer for a very long time and here it is. It's durable, has a magnet that attaches to the fridge so it doesn't get in the way, and I can carry it from room to room waiting for it to turn off. If you are unfamiliar with winding timers, you should wind it up until it can go on and then back up until the time you want it to count down to can begin. If you do this, the bell will turn off. They tick much quieter than the timers I've had in the past. Very happy with…

Read the instructions, NOT 80dB

This is a good old fashioned clockwork timer. You zero the timer to start it, then turn it off. If you don't do this, you may end up with a very faint noise. However, 80 dB should be louder than my vacuum cleaner. No, that is not so. This is much louder than microwave and stovetop timers. Unless you are very hard of hearing you can hear it a few rooms down from the kitchen. I like it because it comes in handy when there's a power outage (I have gas), BBQs, etc. I'll buy a second one. for a…

Follow the instructions and you won't be disappointed.

Follow the instructions and you won't be disappointed. This is a mechanical timer that does not rely on batteries or power other than the kinetic energy it receives from the winding. I think the ringtone volume and duration are spot on and it's a great timer to keep track of screen usage before or after school. Set it for an hour, let them rest, and when the bell rings, back to school! I think it's very handy and much easier to set up than a digital alarm clock.

Review needs updating. Initially I was so happy with the two timers I bought. You have served me really well. They worked great, one next to the kitchen stove, the second in the living room where I also needed a timer. But as happy as I was at the beginning, the first stopped working after a week and the second soon followed. My timers were well cared for, never dropped or abused, never "twisted" - they just stopped working. Very disappointed with this moment!

Classic device, perfect.

Classic. Why would anyone use a timer on the microwave or on your smartphone when you can just wind it up and let it ring when your minutes are up? A fairly classic machine. You need to follow the instructions and start it and THEN set the time. I love it. There is a strong magnet on the back that sticks strongly to my fridge. This is an antique telephone ringer, perfect for my 1940's house. The ringtone is short (in my world, it's loud enough to be heard from a back room and doesn't startle…
