They all work for computers and accessories

All 4 ESP-01's tested with Flicker Sketch and all work great. So far I've made an IOT button with one and it's been working for a week now. You can find them cheaper but nothing beats 2 day shipping! I used a serial USB ESP8266 wifi module for programming along with a soldered button to enter programming mode.

Great for wireless projects

Great programmable Wi-Fi chips. The stock firmwares aren't very good, but they can be flashed. I haven't tried updating them via OTA, but flashing from the Arduino IDE worked fine - you just need to set CH_PD high and GPIO0 low, then connect the reset pin to ground first. I had some issues connecting to the API over HTTPS. , but was able to get around this by setting up an AWS reseller.

I've used 2 or 3 of these now and they work as expected, I've had no problems. I had to make a multiple plug and socket breadboard compatible adapter for them, but I expected that and it wasn't that hard. I program them using a CH340 serial adapter on which I soldered a jumper between GPIO0 (pin 5) and GND (pin 1) and a push button between Reset (pin 6) and GND. In general they work as expected and I am satisfied. I'll probably buy more later.

Its worth it. I love these chips

I have 2 orders for this item. When first ordered, all 1MB chips work fine; left me starving for another order. The second order contained two 4MB caches and two 1MB caches. One of the 1MB has bad usage [arrived by brick]. The two 4MB make up for the poor 1MB I got I think. In general I am satisfied with the purchase considering the unit price. None of them worked. Update any replacements that worked

First I tried the ESP-01 firmware scheme I've used in the past and none of them went into AT command mode. I saw DONE but couldn't go beyond it. I tried to use an Arduino UNO as a programmer. The terminal session started as expected in AT command mode and worked fine. Then I tried flashing the example program to blink. It seemed to work, but when it was done the ESP module didn't blink and it stopped processing AT commands. updated 14.05. The seller immediately sent 4 replacements. For some…
