Powerful Makita-built BL Brushless motor delivers 74 CFM and 39" water lift of suction using two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries (batteries not included). Efficient three stage HEPA filtration system captures 99.97% of particulates .3 microns and larger. Filter cleaning system is designed to maintain optimal suction efficiency and longer filter life. Auto-start Wireless System (AWS) utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication between tool and dust extractor. Up to 75 minutes of continuous run time on low setting and 40 minutes on high setting using two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah batteries BL1850B (batteries not included).

Bluetooth with my miter saw

Main function is connects to my 36v miter saw Bluetooth aws works great. I also love it because the suction nozzle works great as a floor sweeper so after I've finished all my cuts I can clean my saw and sweep the floor quickly and easily. I also keep it in my pickup truck rather than my trailer so I always have a vacuum even when there's no power. The filtration system is also very good, easy to clean. There is a pre-filter surrounding the paper filter and it works. I've used it for a few trim

It doesn't really work with portable tools like grinders or saws. Don't waste money

This is not intended for use with a portable grinder or cut-off machine. looked. Definitely quieter. It's really only good for vacuuming the car or some dust on the floor. I'm very disappointed because I spent money on it to use with my anti-static hose portable tools and I feel like I wasted my money!

Complete garbage! If you suck up smoke or dawn like feathers, that's fine, then

I have this vacuum. Well to tell the truth I have one that you can plug in or put 2 batteries in and it's the same vacuum and specs but with two 5.0 batteries this vacuum is only good for vacuuming up feathers or light dust. I can't believe people give it 5 stars, wish they knew a $40 vacuum is better than this junk. I love the Makita, but they can't make a vacuum to suck on when life depends on it. I've only made a Makita 1.5 backpack backpack which is way better than its vacuum but it's justโ€ฆ

Almost perfect: power tools

I just got Bought the full version of the AWS system and I'm replacing almost all of my power tools with Makita. This extractor has some great points, but there are a few minor issues. The first thing that struck me was how small the extractor is. I think it's good, it's very portable. Just don't expect to fit a lot of sawdust in there. The suction power is noticeably lower than my corded vacuum cleaner. I thought this might be a problem but after cutting the sheet stock with a dozer saw thereโ€ฆ

Working hours, dust extraction, cordless! Cannot compete with Flexvolt with remote switch

I don't have any other AWS tools so can't comment on this particular feature yet. As soon as I can, I will update this review. I really hope Makita releases a universal aws switch that can be installed on tools that don't have this feature, which is why I bought the aws option even though I don't have aws tools. For me it's a gamble in the hope that Makita will release a universal aws switch. I find it very easy to place the device on the floor near my work station and I can easily turn it onโ€ฆ
