I don't like how it confuses people

The one pulled from my E46 has a 50% thicker filter bed and the flow direction is marked on the filter housing. This filter has a much thinner filter layer and no flow direction indicator. You should be warned as it can still show up. All home and car air filters have an air flow direction indicator. While I can point out the correct installation direction, I don't like how it confuses people, not to mention that it's 50% thinner. Also, it fits my car perfectly. Next time I will look for other…

It fit a little tight, which is good, and took about a minute.

It took more effort to install correctly than what I took out. However, since this filters out very small particles, even a slightly loose fit greatly increases the likelihood of leaks. I paid close attention to the little tabs sticking up and down to make sure they fit properly in the open slots and then everything was fine. The lid, held in place by three spring-loaded twist-lock latches, fits snugly without protruding when put on. The filter material looks like it has a base layer and then…

Cabin filter BMW E46 (3rd series)

What can I say about this filter? It was very easy to change and fit perfectly. On my 2005 325ci it's at the very back of the engine bay just forward of the bottom edge of the windshield. There are a couple of rotating connectors that need to be twisted to remove the cover. Pay attention to the orientation of the curve when removing the old filter. Yes, this filter is not rectangular but slightly curved to fit the profile of the windshield. Since I used to have my car serviced at certified BMW…

Excellent fit - excellent results

I picked up my car (2000 323i) and wasn't sure if the cabin air filter had ever been changed - it certainly didn't smell like it. When I took the old one off, I realized why the air smells so musty! This Mann filter fits PERFECTLY and after a few minutes everything smelled cleaner. A huge and very pleasant difference – activated charcoal actually seems to work. For the money it can't be better. Opening a can of tuna is probably really harder. There are some good videos on youtube on how to…
