More detailed instructions, excellent product

Marinco make quality products. It would be easier to clearly mark that this is the cable adapter AND the best way to attach the cable. I've seen a heat gun in the past, no idea if it's correct - could never find a recommendation. not recommended) was in a bind

When it comes to kayaking accessories, size matters

I originally tried to fit a ring I had to the end of one of the shore power plugs and nearly killed myself trying unsuccessfully! Then I discovered that there are actually two sizes and some shore power plugs require the larger size 50Amp. Got this one, it's easy to tighten and holds in place. hernia healed

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

1 right size, 2 not

I ordered 2 QTY. The first fits as it should. The next one was too big and could easily fall over. As if it were rated for 50 amps instead of 30 amps. I just tried replacing one and another one came that was too big. I even swapped them for other wires, but this 100% collar turned out to be too big. Had to go back and give up trying to get a second one that actually fits.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits like the original ring.

I only needed the ring but I ordered this set so as not to have to wait a week or two because the ring (itself) was sold out. I smeared some liquid dish soap around the power cord connector and screwed the ring back into place. It was easier to put on than I expected but I have a feeling it will hold up properly. I have a 30 amp Marinco power cord and this is the right ring for it.

  • Cool product

The perfect replacement.

PERFECT replacement for a cracked threaded ring. Nothing but a flathead screwdriver to press the FLANGE of the female connector onto my 30 amp cable. The ring was placed on the flange in the same way as when mounting the tire. Simply loop it around the flange and push your thumb along the rim until it slips over the flange on the stopper. The flange will "flex" enough to allow for this. DO NOT work the ring directly with a screwdriver, otherwise it may tear again. Use the screwdriver on the…

Topped up my kayak bill

The ring on my 50A cord has completely snapped after 18 years of use. This replacement is perfect. It differs from the original in that the original is screwed. This block is locked. I don't think the fit is that tight but it should work. For anyone interested. My 50 amp Marinco cord has a yellow plug on the end. The part around the end of the fork is flared slightly to prevent the plastic ring from coming loose. This expanding part is made of soft rubber and can be manipulated to slide the old

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Difficult to install and then VERY tight and won't turn without effort.

Once installed it won't screw into my jack without too much force (using pliers). It's so tight I can't turn it by hand. The thread fits perfectly and is the right model/size for my camper and lanyard, but it's so tight on the elastic that it barely turns even with pliers. Using a small amount of olive oil helped, but not much. This was NOT an easy install. Even with a hair dryer and then a heat gun it took a long time and I was afraid it would break. I finally got it on my RV's power cord…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I have no real complaints about it, everything is fine

Works great for watersports

Seems like Revain is confusing reviews of various Marinco o-rings. This overview refers to "O-ring and threaded ring 30A". It is designed to create a weathertight seal at the junction of two extensions. Only works with Marinco lines. The two cables should already have O-rings on the female ends (if not, you can get a new one on this page). This threaded ring O-ring contains another ring that needs to be installed on the male end of one of the cables (the end where the connection is made). You…
