Hard to drill concrete!

Difficult to drill into concrete. I could only drill with a lot of force and also the drill bits came out of my drill press holder automatically as I worked and I kept checking them to make them as tight as possible before using them. It would be very cost effective as a set in a box of 10. The packaging is very ordinary, with no branding. It just came in a clear plastic box and wasn't even clean. It's cheap and I don't recommend it. It is better to choose well-known brands.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Legacy model

Do not do well for masonry drills

I have used them several times and would like to make a couple of points: 1. Came in a case that does not have compartments for ALL the bits. So I just put the small parts in whatever compartment they fit.2. The suitcase they arrived in has neither a latch nor any reliable lock. In fact, the case was opened during transportation and all the parts fell out.3. Even though they look straight, they make my drill bit wiggle when I drill, so it's likely they're only slightly crooked. After all, they…

Sharp and efficient rock drill bits

These drill bits are great for brick, mortar and cement and have a nicely shaped oversized tip for relatively easy drilling. I can't judge strength and durability yet, but they don't shy away from serious testing, like new bits. Drill bits should work as long as you drill slowly, use water frequently to avoid overheating, and use pilot holes first if you need a large hole in masonry. too many bits and not enough slots, forcing them to share if you stick with the original case. My solution is to

NOT Hardened Drills

First of all, these drills allow me to get the job done... just a little. They are used once or twice and then thrown away. The bits are NOT hardened enough to last long. When drilling the top facing brick of a concrete block wall, these bits wore out quickly. All of these bits were used, from the smallest pilot hole to the largest, to insert the 1/4" lever screw. Four holes were drilled in all, and by the end of the drilling, the last hole of 3/4+ of these bits was simply worn out and didn't…

I haven't had any luck with these.

Bought because I ran out of masonry drills. They're advertised as heavy duty, but the first time I used the first bit, the 1/2" bit broke halfway through the grout between the bricks, leaving metal spikes in the hole I need to gouge. They are NOT intended to be used with a hammer drill, only with a regular drill, so be sure not to turn on the hammer function, they probably won't last a second on the hammer. I contacted the seller to share my experience and they made it right for me so I can't…

Absolutely normal! in drill bit

Used a 1/4" drill bit to drill about 1" into 1930's brick. I needed 8 holes to hang a couple of mailboxes. I was advised by a friend who does commercial HVAC work (drilling in concrete, brick, and other hard surfaces as part of his job) not to use high speed and let the drill do the job while I'm not patient much Performance but decent (Porter Cable brand). I used the lowest speed and I would say it took about 15-20 minutes to drill each hole (it could have been less but I didn't really time…

Used twice with great success

I'm not a contractor, but I can do a little. I used to have trouble drilling concrete so I bought these and did some research. In the past I've had pieces break in half and a fly would fly past me, burning my finger trying to pick up the pieces. With these kits I have successfully done two things: 1 - I have drilled holes in the bricks on the outside of the front door. To install the Revain Ring2 doorbell, drill some holes in 2 thick metal drums to allow them to circulate when burning different
