The weatherproof o-ring is terrible

Very good lock but the o-ring to seal the locking mechanism is completely useless. It's not sealing, it's been stretched, damaged and not sealing properly. Let's see how long the castle lasts.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Something different

Great lock for Nissan Utili-Track

This lock works great on my 2016 Nissan Frontier's Utili-Track system. I use it to attach a bed extension. I only have one on one side, combined with a tailgate lock, it keeps the bed extender secure.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Sufficient security is good for a ratchet

I have bought several of these locks and they suit my needs in my car. When using outdoors, be aware that the O-ring between the pin and the head of the lock will not be properly seated and moisture can get into the locking mechanism. And so on with all four locks I bought. I solved this problem by purchasing o-rings of the appropriate size. The square nuts that attach the tie to the rail are a little flimsy/thin and should have been thicker for added security.

They seem fairly reliable and seem to be holding up fairly well

They fit me very well. They feel totally secure and seem to be holding up pretty well. My only complaint is that the o-ring that is supposed to keep moisture out of the lock doesn't close properly, it's too big and loose. I have two of these and both have the same problem. It's also constantly annoying because the loose O-ring gets in the way of opening and closing the lock. Every time I take it off and put it back on. If it wasn't for the o-ring issue I would have given that five stars.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Beautiful lock needs modification

This lock is versatile making it suitable for many uses. For the Tundra I replaced the 5/8 rear rail with a 3/16 to match the Tundra Cargo Management rails. Also, I replaced the thin 1/16 plates used to tighten them in the guide with 1" x 1/4" bar stock, which made pulling impossible. This lock, in its original configuration, could probably have been removed with a crowbar. HOWEVER, it's a good system for keeping the casual thief at bay, who is usually a casual thief. I bought two and will be…

Highly recommended for Toyota trucks

I'm a mountain biker and have rails on my bike transporter body. While the bikes are attached to the trunk, the rims are not. When I saw that in Mike Rowe's video, I had to investigate further. I have a Toyota Tacmoa (05+) and not many people make bed rail accessories. However, Master Lock did a very good job on this lock. Bought two, one for each side of the bed. Each lock took about 5 minutes to install and they attach very firmly to the Toyota body rails. I already have a cable that I've…
