As expected the best padlocks and deadbolts

They are not the strongest but they are master locks. Very small, inexpensive locks. I use them on Pelican cases with no problems. The tumbler mechanism is a bit crunchy. I added some copper graphite anti-seize as a lube, now it works very well. It's more of a deterrent for me and my application. When I'm out with my RC gear I'll tie down a steel cable for my jeep so I don't have to worry unless someone is carrying a 24" bolt cutter. For the price they are great. Don't expect a seriously…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works well if it doesn't break

These locks are the perfect size for what we need: locking items on a roof rack. Unfortunately 1 of them broke immediately; The locking mechanism is open and will not close. We were in dire need of 4 locks and had to find another one for the trip at the last minute. The other 3 work fine. If they all worked I would still only give 4 stars as the keys are almost impossible to attach to a regular keychain. I bent/ripped the nail below the nail bed on the first try. It took two of us and a small…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

UPDATE. I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. After only five months, my lock has rusted and can no longer be opened. I tried WD-40 and my key is still broken and is now stuck in the lock. Now I have to call a locksmith. I had a very difficult time finding a lock small enough to fit in my electrical box outside. One of the locks I tried was too big to fit through a very small hole in my electrical box. A lock that fit the hole looked more like a child's toy that could easily be broken

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad

Ideal for ammo canisters

Exactly what I needed. Last year I bought a generic 2 pack of Smile Face Monster. The springs broke quickly and it became very difficult to close the lock. These master locks are much softer. I checked out a few hardware stores but the price here on Amazon is much lower. I use them for my bike ammo saddlebags and also attach my helmet to the rack. Now any skilled thief will be able to crack them, but I'm much more comfortable running to the store to keep everything locked. It is very convenient

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Get details

Perfect fit for my Pelican case

I wanted some locks for my Pelican case and they were recommended. Contrary to what some people think, you should not use TSA locks when traveling by air as you should be the only one with access to your gun. I learned this by watching a few YouTube videos from a guy who really knows his stuff (wish I could remember his name because I'd love to go back and watch more of his videos!). I don't travel by plane very often and I don't know if I take my gun, but I wanted to have what I need just in…
