Health Warning Suitable for Sports

comes with a warning that it can cause cancer (which of course wasn't stated on the item description page). So I don't even know anything about the durability of the item

Great length and very flexible.

I like this type of security because it's flexible... Those with a solid steel cable are always difficult to straighten and route around bike stands, bars etc. It's also long enough to reach almost anywhere I park it. I wouldn't leave my bike with something like this overnight as I find the combination a little flimsy, but I'm very happy to leave it outside the shop when I'm running errands etc.

Stronger than you think

I was surprised at how heavy this chain is. The package weighs a lot. I ripped off two feet of chain and reattached it because I plan to use it to secure double closet doors at work. Tried to cut with large pliers. There are no dice. I broke it by hitting a soldered chain link with a screwdriver and a hammer. He gave up after about a minute or two. It took a lot of effort. In fact, I was surprised at how durable it is. It's sunscreen at best, but that's all I need.

Affordable Sport Option

This lock comes with a pre-installed four digit code. The chain's shackles are quite strong and will take some time to break. I can't comment on how quickly the lock itself is picked by a thief, but having four different numbers from one to six really helps, many others only have three, and four adds a whole range of combinations (from 216 to 1296 combinations). . However, I use it as a secondary lock to prevent my front wheel from being stolen. It's not my primary lock and I wouldn't trust it…

No sign of lock or bike

I used to have a standard Master cable lock that worked fine and came with a key. After hearing about bike thefts in my area, I decided to "upgrade" the stock cable lock to this chain lock, naively believing it would be more secure than my 3/4-inch cable lock that was $10 at Target and probably cut out could be with kitchen scissors. About a week after I started using this chain lock (which I was very happy with prior to The Incident), upon returning to my apartment after a weekend out of town,
