Almost a complete set, almost.

A 1/2 line is enough for most household businesses and is quite full. You still need air fittings at the end of each drop, you also need wall clamps, but use PEX 1/2 clamps instead, they're half the price and better made and work better. There are several fittings, each requiring a teflon tap and plumbing paste - IN THIS ORDER. I use YELLOW Teflon as it's a bit thicker, I wrap it 2-3 times depending on the size of the piece and then apply a thin layer of paste to it. After fully attaching theโ€ฆ

Great alternative to copper tubing

I originally wanted to use copper tubing and fittings and a friend of mine mentioned seeing a type of "blue pipe" that they used in their work. After a little research I came across the RapidAir Maxline. I did a lot of research and watched a few videos before purchasing. I finally settled on 1/2" because I only have a home shop and don't need a larger diameter as I only use basic hand tools and only use one tool at a time. I installed the system in my garage. I come back to Maxline every time.

I have just completed our 3rd Maxline installation in our shop and home shop and am now planning to expand the shop. I keep coming back to the Maxline product because it works, it's economical, easy to install and maintain, and it looks great. All of our blue leads are installed outside of the drywall for easy access, and we use additional black plastic clips 2-4 feet apart. Our CFM requirements are not very high, so we chose to use 1/2" tubing size, which helps with the economy of our systems.

  • Good product for the price
