I like this and wanted a replacement

I bought a 5x8 trailer from TSC that I like and I needed a replacement. At $12, it was 1/3 the price TSC was asking for the carry (I also got a replacement part from Revain for 1/2 the price TSC was charging). It comes with brackets with many different hole spacings for hanging on the trailer drawbar. I've already gotten a cheap HF jack and was able to change the brackets so that both the jack on the left and the spare tire on the right can use the same mounting bolts. This worked very well and

Very well made spare wheel holder

This spare wheel holder seems to be very well made with strong welds. Although this carrier is not designed to be attached to a corner pendant, I did just that. I cut out a piece of wood to fill in the space in the corner to create a strong side. I also bought two extra eye nuts to attach the eye bolts to the bracket. Works great but design can be questionable

It got bad reviews but I thought it was worth it for the money. If I found it didn't fit, I could always return it. I needed a spare wheel mount for a rowboat trailer. I usually keep the trailer in the garage so constant exposure to the elements is not an issue in terms of rust. Installation was easy, the tire is securely attached. We traveled several hours to tow the boat and the bracket held up well. The only reason I splice a star is because the welds look like crap. I'm no welder but they…

Works well when fixing the hardware

If you're the type of person who will solve any problem with a wrench, pliers, hammer, tape, or portable drill and take pride in your behavior, then ignore the review. For those who do it right. 18mm screw heads. 11/16 inch nuts. 17mm will fit a nut but not if your wrench or socket is to close tolerances. Size that fits properly on bolt head is 18mm, 3/4" is extremely sloppy and totally useless, 11/16" won't fit at all . The included screws are 4 1/2" (114mm) long with 2 1/2" (64mm) threads…
