Great rear tire

Wow. Love it. Dissector in the back and dhf Minion in the front. Great combo. Sticks to the trail like glue, but again is great.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not automatic

Grippy Ripper Tires and Tubes

I usually ride the DHRII in the rear but decided to give this tire a try. It's really nice, I bet it handles as well as the Ardent but corners like a DHR. good work max!

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Specs
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

Great for rear tires only

Light and fast, yet unpredictable on dry, loose or hard surfaces typical of Southern California. Ideal for wet conditions or clean hardpack. Used front and rear for about 5 weeks, switched to DHF front and rear which is amazing.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Wrinkled

I cut through my new rear tire.

Great tire! By replacing the MAXXIS Ardents with a rear Dissector and a DHF up front, I can now scale the steep gravel hills I used to slide down with much more confidence on singletrack descents and through rock gardens. Easy to install/seal and seems pretty quick. I'm glad MAXXIS released these tires that I love the most.

  • Ease of use

Great rear tire! for sport

This model is an excellent rear tire for aggressive driving. Even though uphill performance is reduced, the tire offers the best cornering grip I've ever experienced on a rear tire. I hope Maxxis will offer this in a dual compound in the future to slow the rate of wear. However, I will continue to buy this tire when the time comes for a replacement.

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other kits

Excellent rear tires but the front tires are interesting too!

Great trail/enduro rear tire but you already knew that. Grip is better than the Aggressor and it seems to roll and accelerate a little better. I also enjoyed riding the Dissector on my enduro rig up front to practice cornering. While the DHF and Assegai up front have the traction you need, they can sometimes make you lazy in corners because they are so strong (the Assegai in particular). As you move the Dissector forward, you need to improve your cornering skills. It's not an XC tire at allโ€ฆ

Fairly light tyre, good on loose ground, good on loamy mud

When it comes to tyres, I like to think there is always something better, hence the 4 star rating. However, having tried the Maxxis Aggressor, High Roller 2, DHF, DHR2, this is the best rear tire I have ever tried. It's quite light compared to the Minions, they have good lug shape and are splayed to give decent grip when climbing and braking, the side lugs hold up just like the HR2, they seem to roll fast. Mud clearance is something a lot of tires don't do very well here in Hawaii. Our Red Clay

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
