Description of Maxxis Minion DHF EXO Tire

MINION DHF: With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking. EXO: An extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain tires. This densely woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Choose EXO Protection for exceptionally rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high. DUAL COMPOUND: Two compounds used within the tread offer lower rolling resistance and increased cornering grip compared to single compound tires. TUBELESS READY: Sealant-compatible rubber is used with a Tubeless Ready bead to securley lock to the rim with, or without, an innertube.

The best tires for cycling

I put Roscoe 8 2020 on my track and replaced the factory tires (XR3). The difference between day and night. Maxxis 10/10 for cornering and speed.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Not even close to the stated size.

The tire is clearly marked as a 2.8 width but my calipers read a little under 2.7. It's more like a 2.6 inch wide tire. My guess is that this saves Maxxis material costs, but this is misleading to the consumer.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Maximum traction: Sporty

These tires grip like iron. You'll hear less skid than other tires, meaning the thump and slap you typically hear cornering with other tires is less when the minions are digging in the dirt. looks very trustworthy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging

Long live DHF!: Cycling

I mean it's DHF. Anyone who operates or has operated any of them. It's a plus size that says 2.8 but it's actually 2.7 when measured. Great in corners but not impressive when clearing mud (see image). Still one of the best tires you can drive. I have my tubeless that weighs 19-20 pounds.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Not 2.8 ". Just 2.6 ". False marketing

2.8" tires expected. See photos. There are only 2.6 of them. Be sure to install them and see See how they work. I bought these because of the increased width compared to my old 2.35" tires. Disappointed. I checked my old Schwalbe tires which I had removed. They were listed as 2.35". Sold and are slightly as wide. Hope these maxxis work well. Wants to test them out mostly in the snow. Will update later after a few rides.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Functionality

dream tires! - Tires and Tubes

I have a 27+ bike and figured a wide tire was all I needed. They looked too bulky and I thought there might be some rolling resistance. They are powerful but I don't feel any rolling resistance at all. What strikes me is the amazing clutch! These babies cling to everything. I live in Southern California and the terrain is loose rock on a hard cover. It's nice to have a tire that handles corners so well. Can't wait for the back version.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • No Instructions

AMAZING IN ALL KINDS

THIS TIRE ARRIVES ON TIME AND WELL PACKAGED. EVEN PACKED WITH A COOL BLACK AND ORANGE MAXXIS BACKPACK WITH CABLE. IT WAS NICE. NOW FOR THE TIRE ITSELF: THIS IS AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL TALL HANDLES, GREAT GRIP, GREAT CORNERING AND REALLY GIVES ME THE CONFIDENCE KNOWING THAT THIS TIRE CAN DO EVERYTHING. IT WAS A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO SIT WITHOUT THE CAMERA BECAUSE HE IS VERY FAT (2.8) AND FAT. WHEN IT WAS SET UP I LET MY BIKE WORK AND REALLY ENJOYED THE RIDE. IT WAS INSTALLED IN THE REAR WITH A MAXXIS…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here
