My Favorite Color Changing Filament

I really like this filament. Easy to print. Minimal deformation and good fixation with hairspray. Excellent results with nozzle 230, layer 110 and speed 40 mm/s.

Pros
  • Recommended Printing Temperature 230-240°C (446-464°F)
Cons
  • Expensive

Great printable ABS from MG.

Another great product from MG! It was the strongest ABS plastic I've used (compared to some others like Hatchbox etc). It doesn't clog, heats up to the right temperature and prints beautifully. I added a video to my review showing a heating pad that changes the color of the filament.

Pros
  • Diameter 1.75mm ABS thread Net weight 1kg (2.2lbs)
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

When printing at too high temperature (normal ABS temperature), the color change effect will be interrupted and the printed product will remain pink - no cold (e.g. in the freezer) will turn purple again. Printed products only change color when printed at temperatures typical of PLA, but adhesion is poor at these temperatures. A slight temperature adjustment is required for optimal color change and adhesion.

Pros
  • Vacuumed with desiccant, in resealable bags
Cons
  • unreliable
