🚦 MicroBypass Parking Brake Switch: Enable Video in Motion for Pioneer AVH-4100NEX and AVH-4200NEX Review

It bypasses the parking brake switch, but sometimes the video screen flickers and resets as if the bypass was disabled. I'm not sure if the problem could be how the bypass sends a signal to the stereo at a frequency too low to be interpreted as a good connection (some bypass switches describe how they work). When working properly, it works as advertised. I am using Pioneer AVH-4400NEX.

I added a Pioneer head unit to my wife's car which gave us access to features that would not be available without the handbrake. We used to ground the brake cable to the head unit and that tempted the Pioneer unit to open up all the features Pioneer designed. The unit is very small and can easily be squeezed behind the main unit when installing a replacement stereo.
