They work well but the quality of the materials is questionable.

We bought two of these gates and they work well. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is the lack of procurement of spare parts. At an interval of about 4 months and a week, the spring-loaded plastic hinge failed. The screw has not loosened, the post it is screwed into has been cut off on both. I contacted the manufacturer and they offered to look into my claim, but the gate still works, albeit a little less efficiently. All I wanted was for them to send me two top hinges, even sell them…

Good goals.: Doors, gates and ramps

Good goals. However, our 15kg pup found a way to jump in and get over it. He is Houdini. We still use him when we are at home to herd him and his sister into the kitchen. But when we leave, we lean a piece of plywood against him so he doesn't jump over it. Double check that you have room for the screw lugs that will hold it in place. We ordered larger adapters and found them too big to fit. So we used the ones that came with the gate and they seem to do the job. The gates close and lock…

Great goal! Best in the 'Doors, Gates and Ramps' category

I bought this gate to keep my dogs off the 'training ground'. I am a dog trainer so yes I have a dog training room. These gates are built pretty solid. Excellent materials. I was a little worried about previous reviews saying the latch was broken, but I think these people probably didn't understand that you have to push and lift at the same time and the rough handling this causes is at the root of the problem. with latch. I got the 39" version as I have a Great Dane. It's up to my chest even…

I wish I had bought this sooner!

I love this gate! My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner. I have a 17 year old fat cat. Unfortunately, he loses his hearing and can no longer hear his own meows, causing him to meow even louder. He had a habit of sitting at the door of each bedroom and crying to be allowed in. But as soon as we let him in, he wants to leave, and it goes on like this all day (and night). He walks down the hall, even when the rooms are empty! What the hell does he want? We do not know. My sister has this…

Unbelievable! best in doors, gates and ramps

This is a great gate! I tried to keep our 3 cats out of our son's room. He didn't want them in his room because they have bad habits. I was skeptical that this would work on cats and even bought a plastic octagonal cover to keep them out. Haven't even used it yet so this is just day one. Also, I bought humane litter boxes but they haven't arrived yet. I'm not even allowed to put them in front of the door because cats avoid gates. Kittens would be fine but my cats are mature, older cats. I am…

Great gate to break

This gate looks good and works well. Everything feels solid and well-built except for perhaps the most important part, the spring-loaded top loop. This part is subject to the most wear and use as it allows the gate to swing back and forth. We use this gate all the time as a passage from one part of the house to another as large dogs often lock themselves behind it during the day. We have had two of those gates fail, one within the 90 day return period which the company replaced directly and now

  • Pretty impressive

  • Null

We all absolutely love it. It's very durable

so I do a lot of research before I buy anything! I needed a gate that our Jack Russells and Beagles mix couldn't eat, knock over, jump over, or climb over. I also needed one that we could pass without getting stuck or swerving sideways. Some had narrow aisles. And one I could open with one hand. I was concerned that some of the latches I saw were broken and I was concerned that the pressure mounted latches would not be able to get through the gate with our 36 lb dogs with extreme…

  • not the best

Good performance and price but structural weaknesses

Highest available gate, top and bottom locked tightly, most dogs cannot force it open. Opens both ways, which is unusual. The movement to open it is to pull a small latch (easy) and lift the gate (against a fairly strong spring). I don't have much trouble opening it, but my wife and kids do, although it's easier to get used to. Despite the positive qualities, it is about the lowest price for metal gates. But mine broke after 6 months. The strong spring that you use to lift the gate to open is…

  • Elegant design

Great Cat Foiler. (UPDATE)

I thought I had ordered a graphite finish (list price was a few bucks cheaper) but it came in white instead, which was fine with me. The 39" gate is too high for my big cat to jump over, the smooth surface keeps it from getting tangled while climbing, and the sides of the frame keep it from sneaking past my feet. Installation is a bit fiddly as the hold down nuts require multiple adjustments, but the gate fits the doorway snugly and securely. The hole almost fits the width of my "walker" style…
