I do not recommend this product. I was excited to find something to hold my lip balm tubes but definitely do some shopping before you get this particular one. First, the spatula doesn't work at all. I think a real scraper is needed to move the oil properly. This one did next to nothing, so many of the tubes weren't completely filled, although they looked like the oil was still thin. I bought this on a whim and I love it. Holding the jar and hand-filling isn't a big deal, and I don't make dozens of balms at once, so it felt like overkill. BUT. although I only do eight at a time it's great; It keeps the tube VERY stable and I can go back and "refill" the tubes without too much trouble and the little scraper leaves a professional finish without using a heat gun. Even if you're doing several at once, this is a great crutch.

I was afraid the tray would be wrapped up and not lay flat - but it doesn't; Tray was flat. I used another tray my friend had and it was much better. The hoses fit very well. The other tray had a large gap from the top to the tube itself. Therefore, when you finished filling them, there was nothing in the tube at all. This is a waste of money - I realize I bought two pieces of plastic on purpose - but after they specifically said it was to be used with their lip balm tubes, you might think what means they would be easy to use with their lip balm tubes. My son and I use a lot of lip balm over the winter. I try not to use chemicals etc. in many products. So I decided to make my own lip balm. The product is really durable, easy to use and great value for money. It included labels and instructions on where to find a template to print. I'm so thankful I ordered this kit for my first attempt at making homemade lip balm. It would be frustrating to fill the tiny tubes without something to hold them. We are a family of 4 all addicted to Burt's Bees lip balm so I wanted to find a cheaper and more natural option. I made a little recipe to make sure it worked and it's awesome! I bought this kit in February 2021 and ended up just opening it to start making lip balm for my business. I noticed my kit did not include heat shrink tubing even though it said it did. I emailed the company at info@millardbrands.com as listed in one of their directories. Emails have bounced a few times and there is no other way to reach them. They deducted two stars for that.
