Works best in diagnostic, test and measurement tools

Honestly I'm surprised at how accurate it is, although it doesn't fit very well in a shirt pocket it's still an amazing tool, somewhat expensive, but what can you do. make it laugh

Pros
  • Positive result only
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Buy it if you keep checking your brakes at work

to adjust the length of the handle but works in a pinch to speed up the process. I lost my first one so I bought another one which is a bit pricey though.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Needed for a long time

Works great in brake sensors

So far this thing has paid for itself in two weeks. By working at a dealership and having the car on the stand without having to remove the tires for a proper inspection (which we offer for an additional fee) I can get accurate measurements and let the customer know they may be coming soon or a full brake check needed. Great for saving clients money and helping me get a little more done.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Minor issues

Both sides of the instrument cannot be measured accurately.

If you're looking for a good sensor, this one with a few minor drawbacks is for you. calibrated only for the inside of the lip, not the outside. So when you need it, you need to measure the thickness of the tool's stop edge (for lack of better terminology) and then add that to the number the gauge reads. I had 1.5mm so if you read with the shims installed and grab the back plate with the edge of the tool and it shows e.g. B. 4 mm shim life. For me it was 5.5 mm due to the edge thickness…

Brake gauge accuracy

I am giving this brake gauge one star because it is not accurate at all. I work at a Nissan dealership and I do multiple checks on every vehicle we work on. I bought it to speed up the process and not have to remove the tires to inspect the brake pads as some Nissan vehicles, like the Altima, have very limited outside access. Well I've tried various Nissan vehicles thinking maybe I measured it wrong but I saw a video of how to measure it with a tool and you suggest fitting the rod end onto the…
