nice but a little work

good fittings, good sealing on the valve, replacement parts are available. I'll probably end up passing it on to my kid. However, there are some issues that come out of the box. The inside of the hose guide is VERY sharp. I filed the edge and sanded it. I wrapped a few turns of rubber on the inner tube to make it tighter. gague was three pounds short and it's a pain to adjust. You can unscrew the end cap, pull out the two spacers, pull out the sensor. (Note which way it goes). There is a…

Made in the USA and very high quality!

Great item. Super heavy construction and looks like it will last 2 lives! I have a garage at home where I work with personal items (tractor, mower, quad, jeep, truck, etc.) and I'm tired of filling one tool and then taking it off to check on another. ! It's very easy to use and looks like it could withstand a nuclear blast. I'm not sure about the comments saying it's hard to read. Actually very easy to read. It has a much larger gauge glass than any other tire gauge I've seen. It clearly says…

May require tuning to your psi range. So.

First off, this is a really good pump. It's explosion-proof, you can buy parts for it, and it's ADJUSTABLE so you can set it to the pressure range you want. I use mine primarily for car tires and my weight is around 8 lbs. That's fine for 90psi truck tires, but that's not what I bought it for. To adjust this sensor, remove the large screw at the end, then pry off the plastic washers with the small holes in the middle. Now pull out the cartridge. Remove the large screw at the end of the…

Buyer Warning. A solid looking product that falls short of expectations.

I have had a different tire inflator with dipstick for many years. He eventually died and I figured I could easily find a suitable replacement. I thought this Milton would do the job, but alas, that wasn't the case. It worked fine for the first few months. I don't use it very often so I'm very disappointed it didn't help me yesterday. I checked the tire pressure on my wife's van and it worked fine. Then I go to my truck and the first two tires worked well. On the third tire, the Milton gauge…

and knew they were good gangs. When I needed a new inflator

I have been using Milton fittings in all my air tools and lines for several years and I know they are good connections. When I needed a new inflator I wanted to see if Milton had one. It's more expensive than what you can usually buy in the big department stores, but I figured it would be better to buy a Milton once than every two to three years at a hardware store. I was very impressed when I opened the package. First, you need a connector to connect to your system. For most people, this is a…

Looks exactly like the one I've been using for 30 years

The S-506 is now a 160 lb gauge based on information from the Milton website. This pressure gauge was bought as a gift for my son. It's basically a copy of the one I've had in my garage for about 30 years, except the dial was on the new 160 instead of 120 like my original. I prefer the 120lb scale as it is easier to calibrate and easier to read, but at the moment I need glasses for both scales so it doesn't matter. It is a very handy and very durable tool; In my opinion, it is much more…

Pros
  • REPLACEMENT PARTS: Pressure gauge and valve cartridges can be replaced
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

I almost gave up on this product after reading some of the reviews and that would be a shame as it is a great product. It's overkill for my home garage, but all in one, neat and I like it. I'm glad I bought it. Three criticisms I'd like to comment on that might help someone else... • Difficult to use gauge and cartridge: One review painted in my mind a picture of a wildly spinning cartridge relentlessly slamming into every car. on his way. To be honest, I don't understand this: I have a…
