Get the right part.

As P. Stein pointed out, you should know when your faucet was made as Moen saw fit to keep the same model number after they redesigned the CA87006SRS and not even one Had letters added to the model number so you can tell it apart. Models before 6-2012 use hose connector 131381. After this date the hose part number is 150259. Be aware there are other part number changes for repairs between early and late models. This hose worked great for my CA87006CSL which was discontinued at the same time asโ€ฆ

Exactly like in the photo.

exactly as shown. Moen told me I need hose 131381. They identified my sink from the photos I sent them. I was concerned that I would be getting the wrong hose based on this review showing photos with different model numbers. This review is assuming the hose, which looks exactly like the one I wanted, is a different model number than 131381. However, I do not believe these photos are correctly captioned in this review. I was confident that Moen was right about the model number I was given andโ€ฆ

Not like in the photo. Suitable for pipes, fittings and accessories

This hose has an outside diameter of 3/8" instead of the original 1/2" diameter. The inner diameter of the fittings is correspondingly smaller, but still lets enough water through. The quick connector is also white plastic and not the brass shown in the photo, although it works great in a quick connector. The ferrule is similar to the original but does not center the atomizer head well. The sprat head's threaded end has no flats for pliers or a wrench, but hand tightening still works and Iโ€ฆ

You will also need an o-ring if it is missing or damaged!

As our house was built 19 years ago, it seems our original O-ring was completely destroyed (!) so when I unscrewed the faucet the only detachable element between the hose and the pipe was a water diffuser. Since the hose was leaking through the hose from the back of the ball joint, I figured the hose or hose washer (which comes with this hose - mine was white) was damaged. While this is somewhat true, when I installed this new hose with no o-ring (not realizing there was supposed to be one)โ€ฆ

Be careful - you may need a new faucet.

This hose has a part number listed on the Moen website as a replacement hose for our kitchen sink faucet. Pros: - The faucet base connector fits perfectly. - The hose holds the water entering the faucet. and not in the cupboard under the sink (like an old hose that has a few holes formed in it). That was of course the point of changing the hose :-) Cons: - The part that connects the hose to the hand nozzle does not attach to a portable device. This is very disappointing for Moen, which Iโ€ฆ

That's it. Our first hose started leaking after a year. Moen sent us a replacement free of charge. It went like this for 2 years. Moen offered us a choice of another free replacement or a new faucet for $59. Same type but presumably self sweeping. I paid $59. The same type, but presumably self-winding. To save on plumbing I figured I could use a new hose and save on plumbing until I needed a plumber for something else. Well, the hose looked the same, but it wasn't. Don't turn down the faucetโ€ฆ
